The development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade, economic and investment spheres is intended to facilitate the realization of Turkmenistan's economic capacity. The share of foreign investments put into in the Turkmen economy is growing steadily; the number of investment projects and joint ventures is increasing.

The festivities and the Congress “2017 Asian Games: International cooperation in sports in the name of peace and progress” held in the Avaza National Tourism Zone on occasion of the World Health Day brought together numerous foreign delegations and the guests of honour from different countries.

On February 12th the polling stations of the country will open their doors to the people of Turkmenistan, which are expected to elect a Head of State. Nation-wide presidential elections will become another evidence of the irreversibility of democratization of the society, which, in an environment of openness, transparency, and with awareness of responsibility for the future of the country, prepares to select the most worthy of the nine candidates.

On February 2nd, 2017 at the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly, participants have unanimously adopted a resolution proclaiming 12th of December International day of neutrality.

Akhal-Teke horses and Alabay are the loyal friends and faithful companions of Turkmens throughout centuries of history. That is why their images are used in the symbolic of the Vth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

At the Elder’s council meeting held on September 14, 2016, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the year of 2017 in the life of our country is a year of major historical events, defining the exceptional importance of elections of the President of Turkmenistan to be one of them.

The concern for the Turkmen citizens’ health and healthy life style is reflected not only in the state programmes, the laws of Turkmenistan, the programmes on development of sanatorium and resort infrastructure but in the social life processes, increasing people’s spiritual and cultural level and environmentalization of the national economy as well.
