The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov,signed a decree, in accordance with the decree, taking into account the contribution to strengthening the defence capability of the Fatherland and the significant merits in consolidating the rule of law and public order, maintaining peace in society, and faithfully fulfilling the sacred military duty, as well as on the occasion of the glorious 35^th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan, in accordance with paragraph 15 of Article 71 of the Constitution of Turkmenistan, a group of military personnel and employees of military and law enforcement agencies of the country have been awarded military and special ranks, as well as class ranks.

Today, a festive concert featuring cultural figures and masters of the arts took place at the capital’s Congress Center, attended by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to mark the glorious 35^th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.

Today, the State Migration Service hosted the ceremony of granting permanent residence permits to foreign citizens residing in our country in the territory of Turkmenistan according to the Resolution of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The event, which has enriched historically significant events of the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged horses», became another acknowledgement of invariable adherence of our Fatherland to humane principles.

Under the wise leadership of deeply esteemed President of Turkmenistan Berdimuhamedov Serdar Gurbangulyevich in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, our people with high enthusiasm and labour successes solemnly meet the glorious 35^th anniversary of sacred independence of our native land.

Guided with mercy and humane principles, inherited from our great ancestors, with a view of the further strengthening of unity and coherence of Turkmen society and each family, as well as on the occasion of the 35^th anniversary of independence of the country, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on pardon of the convicted on the occasion of the 35^th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan. The document granted a pardon to 1054 citizens for their release from the further service of their basic punishment in the form of imprisonment, and from additional punishment in the form of obligation to live in certain locality.

Guided by principles of humanism and virtue of our ancestors and based on adherence to conventional international standards on protection of the rights and freedom of the individual as well as according to the Law of Turkmenistan «On migration», the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution. According to the document, permanent residence permits were granted a group of foreign citizens to stay in Turkmenistan.
