On June 18, 2026, Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim arrived in Turkmenistan for an official visit. The distinguished guest was welcomed by officials at the Ashgabat International Airport.

To appoint Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Malaysia Mashalov Muhammetnyyaz Badyyevich (city of Kuala Lumpur) as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the State of Brunei Darussalam.

Today, the first meeting of the Turkmen-Slovak joint commission on economic cooperation was held at the «Ýyldyz» Hotel in the capital, which was attended by representatives of ministries and sectoral departments of our country, as well as members of the delegation that arrived in Turkmenistan on a visit led by Vladimir Simonyak, deputy minister of economy of the Slovak Republic.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Akhal velayat where he familiarised with the course of the ongoing wheat harvesting campaign in the region.

In order to successfully fulfil the objectives set for the oil and gas industry, as well as the effective development of license blocks located in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian sea, based on the Law of Turkmenistan «On hydrocarbon resources», the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution according to which the State concern «Türkmennebit» is allowed to conclude an agreement on the development of license blocks in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian sea between the State concern «Türkmennebit», the Malaysian company «Petronas Çarigali (Türkmenistan) Sdn. Bhd» and the state enterprise «Hazarnebit» of the Concern.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the President of the Republic of Iceland, Ms. Halla Tómasdóttir, on the occasion of the national holiday – Republic Day.
