The festivities and the Congress “2017 Asian Games: International cooperation in sports in the name of peace and progress” held in the Avaza National Tourism Zone on occasion of the World Health Day brought together numerous foreign delegations and the guests of honour from different countries. High-ranking representatives of sports sphere, National Olympic Committees of the state-members of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, the heads of the Olympic Council of Asia, international sports federations as well as famous political and public figures took part in the festive events. Since the beginning of the grandiose project that was initiated by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the aim to create a the world-class resort – the international business, cultural and sports centre on the Caspian coast in Turkmenistan, Avaza has been positioned not only as a tourism cluster but also as a polygon for the bold architectural, engineering, technology and urban-planning decisions. Moreover, Avaza has been also considered as a territory for ‘running’ innovative economic, environmental and creative ideas, offers. In the human dimension, this is the land of friendship, creativity, relaxation and inspiration, the unstinted hospitality that the Turkmen people is famous for and that is presented in the modern format of high service, the comfort of luxury hotels and the infrastructure of tourism industry. However, the Turkmen people’s sincere hospitality surpassed all standards of services, reception and accommodation of tourists. That is what our guests say, who are impressed with the openness and sincerity of people, their attitude towards open-minded communication, respect and interest in other cultures and peoples more than with the hand-made beauties in today’s Avaza. Our guests, who visited Avaza recently, also confirmed that. Among them are President of the Olympic Council of Asia and Association of National Olympic Committees Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, the Head of the International Meibukan Gojyu-Ryu Karate-Do Association Meitatsu Yagi, the Head of the Asian Chess Federation Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Shakhboot Al Nahyan, famous American golfer and founder of the Nicklaus Design Company Jack Nicklaus and Irina Rodnina, a Russian politician and figure skater, who is the only pair skater to win 10 successive World Championships and three successive Olympic gold medals and who, at present, actively supports the development of the figure-skating school in Turkmenistan. Moreover, the old friends of our country arrived in Avaza to take part in the April 7 festivities. Among them the Governor of the Astrakhan Region, the Russian Federation Alexander Zhilkin and Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Vladimir Zhirinovsky. In his interview to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, Vladimir Zhirinovsky emphasized that the affirmation of the healthy life style in Turkmenistan stood as the assertion of harmony and prosperity in the society, peace in the region. As the key to health of a person and society is a happy prosperous life. In this regard, Vladimir Zhirinovsky underlined the crucial significance of the neutral status of Turkmenistan, which was approved by the Resolutions of the UN General Assembly. “We are leaving with the warmth feeling of the admiration of what we have seen and heard here. We will further contribute to make cooperation and friendship between our countries closer”, said Vladimir Zhirinovsky in his interview and emphasized that particular attention is paid in Turkmenistan to the Russian language, its studying at schools. “Happy times are ahead and I think that we will be glad that Turkmenistan and Russia are neighbors”, said Vladimir Zhirinovsky. Avaza is a festival centre in the Central Asian region. Annually, it hosts international creative contests and concerts performed by foreign artists. A big present for the participant of recent festivities in Avaza was the concert, performed by Turkmen artists together with famous workers of culture and arts from foreign countries. Among them are People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Polad Bülbül oğlu, People's Artist of Russia Lev Leshchenko, People's Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roza Rymbayeva, as well as young artists from other countries.
