In events, representatives of national and foreign mass media and also members of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums in Turkmenistan took part.
Within the framework of the visit of the delegation of the Mission of international observers of SCO led by Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Grigory Logvinov, the meeting with representatives of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums in Turkmenistan took place. The elections of deputies of the Mejlis, members of the Khalk Maslakhaty and Gengeshes for velayats, etraps and cities, which were held on March 26, became the main topic of discussion.
As TDH was informed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at 42 polling stations at diplomatic missions and consular offices of our country in foreign countries elections of deputies of the Mejlis, members of the Khalk Maslakhaty and Gengeshes for velayats, etraps and cities were held well organized with high activity of voters.
By 19:00, 91,12% of voters voted in the elections of deputies of Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

According to the data of the Central Commission for holding elections and referendums in Turkmenistan, by 15 hours in the elections of members of deputies of the Mejlis took part 74,48 % of the total number of voters, 74,65% of members of the Khalk Maslakhaty for velayats, etraps and cities and 74,17% of electors for Gengeshes.
