President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed condolences to King of Spain Felipe VI over numerous deaths and injuries during the terrorist attack in Barcelona.

Ashgabat hosted regular session of Intergovernmental Turkmen- Pakistani commission, for participation in which representative delegation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan arrived in the capital.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in public ecological action the Day without Automobile Transport as well as in the opening ceremonies of public facilities.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received the head of the International Group of Companies ""Areti"" Igor Makarov, who arrived in our country to participate in the celebrations, on the occasion of the countdown of 30 days before the start of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games .

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov convened an extraordinary session of the State Security Council to consider the implementation of urgent tasks faced by the security, defence and law enforcement agencies of the country, and identify priority areas for further modernization of the material and technical base of these departments. The main items on the agenda included the readiness of the security, defence and law enforcement agencies to maintain security during the Games “Ashgabat 2017”.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Murad Ashraf Janjua, who presented his credentials to the head of state.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held video conference session with participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge for construction, energy, communal services and Ashgabat, hyakims of the velayats and the capital. The agenda of the session included implementation of the strategy of social and economic development of the country, seasonal field works as well as preparation to the coming remarkable dates and V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent deep condolences to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in connection with the train accident in Alexandria, which resulted in numerous human casualties and injuries.
