The head of state Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov have signed Decrees that sanctioned the following appointments:

Sheikh of the State of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, and President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko have wished a Happy New Year 2018 to President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov.

By the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Annageldy Garajayev was severely reprimanded for unsatisfactory fulfilment of his duties and loosening of control over the activity of the structures under his supervision with the last warning to correct the shortcomings as soon as possible.

The wishes of success and great achievements to the Head of the State and Turkmen nation were sent by Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain Mariano Rajoy, Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the PRC Zhang Dejiang, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Head of the Government Office of the Russian Federation Sergey Prihodko, Chairman of the Executive Committee Executive Secretary of the CIS Sergey Lebedev, General Director of the UN Food and Agricultural Organization José Graziano da Silva.

According to the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Hajymyrat Hajymyradov was appointed as the Executive Secretary of the Office of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. Previously, he occupied the post of the Head of Administration of the Palace Complex of the Head of the State and the Head of Major Construction Department of the Office of the President of Turkmenistan.

Norway’s King Harald V, Denmark’s Queen Margrethe II, Tonga’s King Tupou VI, Canada’s Governor-General Julie Payette, New Zealand’s Governor-General Patsy Reddy, President of the European Council Donald Tusk, Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Halil Ibrahim Akça have sent their warmest wishes to the head of state Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov for a New Year.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has been receiving New Year’s greetings. The Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Angela Merkel, President of Ireland, Michael Higgins, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Mongolia, Khaltmaagiin Battulga, President of the United Arab Emirates, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, King Abdullah II of Jordan and his family extended their best wishes to the head of state and the people of Turkmenistan.

By the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, for outstanding contribution to the consolidation of Turkmenistan’s independence, development of national customs and traditions, forging cohesion and unity of the people, education of a younger generation and for representing an exemplar model of living, the teacher of the Turkmen State Specialized Art School at the State Academy of Art, Saragt Babayev, has been conferred the title of the People’s Honorary Elder.

We have done many things for the consolidation of Russian – Turkmen strategic partnership. Our meetings in Ashgabat and Sochi proved the similarity of the approaches of Russia and Turkmenistan to topical issues of regional and international agenda.
