President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Mark Von Pentz, the Head of Agricultural and Turf Equipment Division of John Deere Company. Having expressed the gratitude to the Head of the State for spared time for the meeting, the guest noted that Turkmenistan presents great interest for the business circles of foreign states due to its favourable investment climate and large-scale reforms in the country. Excellent results have been achieved in the economy including agricultural sector owing to the far-sighted policy of the Head of the State, Mark Von Pentz continued, having stated the willingness of his company to expand productive cooperation. Partners’ relations are successfully developed for 25 years, which is indicated by the participation of our company in large-scale national projects, John Deere representative highlighted. Having expressed the gratitude for good words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that our country is open for beneficial contacts with the leading representative of the world business community. Recently, Turkmenistan pays great importance to the accumulation of the potential of agricultural sector, the Head of the State said, having stated with delight that John Deere takes active part in joint projects in agricultural complex for many years. During the conversation, Turkmen leader and the businessman shared the opinions on the perspectives of bilateral relations in the context of agricultural reform in Turkmenistan. Having informed on the measures taken under the agreements achieved earlier, Mark Von Pentz made number of proposals on the expansion of cooperation including by the supply of advanced types of grain and cotton harvesters, which completely meet soil and climate conditions of the country. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan is willing to continue upgrading agricultural equipment, which diversification would be sped up in the context of large-scale objectives outlined in the Programme of social and economic development of the country in 2018 – 2024. Having noted the presence of wide opportunities for the intensification of business relations, the Head of the State highlighted that service and maintenance of agricultural equipment are the main aspects of long-term partnership in this aspect. At the end of the meeting, having again expressed the gratitude to Turkmen Leader for the trust, the John Deere Representative assured that his company would continue putting all efforts for the development of fruitful partnership based on the compliance with mutual interests and future perspectives.
