The 12th meeting of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the 7th convocation was held today. Representatives of several ministries and departments, as well as the media, were invited to participate. The meeting considered and adopted a number of draft laws developed based on the valuable advice and objectives for further improving national legislation in accordance with the requirements of the time, as set by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. These laws are aimed at modernizing the legal framework of our country and promoting its intensive socio-economic development.

Today, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, it was held a ceremony of opening the Mary-Turkmenabat section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway. This significant event clearly demonstrates the dynamic development of the country’s transportation system.
In order to further develop bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution «On the appointment of the heads of the Turkmen-Chinese intergovernmental committee on cooperation and its subcommittees from the Turkmen side».
