The past week marked by celebration of the Gurban bayramy, personifying a triumph of high humanistic ideas, was rich with bright, remarkable events, in which priorities of the policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov - strategic partnership for universal peace, security and progress, augmentation of economic potential of our fatherland and enrichment of cultural wealth of the nation.

In his congratulatory message to the people of independent neutral Turkmenistan on the occasion of the Gurban bayramy, which is widely celebrated on the first days of the summer of the International year of peace and trust, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlines hat such national values as unity, charity, openness and honesty, diligence, spiritual and moral purity, thanks to grandiose undertakings of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag  became a bridge uniting peoples and strengthening their bonds of friendship.

On June 2 in Ulan Bator within the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Mongolia, negotiations between heads of the two friendly countries – Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh took place.

During the meeting, topical areas of Turkmen-Mongolian cooperation taking into account a long-term prospect were concretised. The parties also exchanged opinions on actual aspects of regional and international challenges that represent mutual interest.

A priority place during negotiations was given to trade and economic partnership. Perspective of association of efforts of two countries in achievement of transport coherence, joint work in creation of transcontinental transport corridors from Asia to Europe was also marked.

In the given context, the head of Turkmenistan invited Mongolia to participation in work of the “Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries” which will be held in August in Avaza at level of heads of states and governments. At the same time, readiness of our state for active cooperation with the International Research Centre for Landlocked Developing Countries located in Ulan Bator was confirmed.

Presence of preconditions for adjustment of partnership in spheres of energy and communications was also marked. Issues of parliamentary interaction were in details considered.

Along with it, the importance of expansion of scientific-educational and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, interaction in sports and tourism sphere were stated.

The head of Turkmenistan invited the President of Mongolia to take part in the International forum, which will take place in Ashgabat on December 12 on the occasion of two significant events for our country - the 30th anniversary of its neutrality and declaration of 2025 by the General Assembly of the United Nations on the initiative of Turkmenistan as «International year of peace and trust».

Upon completion of negotiations, to the applause of the present, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh signed the Joint Statement.

Following the results of negotiations 14 documents aimed at strengthening of mutual relations in the area of foreign policy departments, in trade, economy and investments, in sphere of light industry, science, education, culture and public health services and the Memorandum between the khyakimlik of Ashgabat city and city administration of Ulan Bator on establishment of brotherly relations between Ashgabat and Ulan Bator cities were signed.

That very day within his visit, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met Dashzegviin Amarbayasgalan, Speaker of Mongolia’s State Great Khural.

During the meeting, the significance of the bilateral summit talks held in Ulan Bator, which opened a new major landmark in the history of interstate dialogue between Turkmenistan and Mongolia, was underlined.

The head of the state underlined the importance of strengthening of contract-legal basis of mutual relations and expressed intention to deepen friendship between two countries, including at the expense of expansion of inter-parliamentary relations.

Within the state visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Mongolia, in Ulan Bator the Turkmen-Mongolian business forum aimed at development of trade and economic partnership took place.

Among priority areas of cooperation investment activity, transport and logistics, communication, textile industry, agriculture, business contacts were defined, and bilateral documents were also signed.

Besides it, in Mongolia the exhibition of products of decorative and applied arts of Turkmenistan, the exhibition-fair of Turkmen carpets and a joint concert of masters of culture and art of two countries were organised.

On June 3, our country marked World Bicycle Day. In the mass bicycle riding, which took place in the capital on the occasion of this international holiday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part.

The route of large-scale sports action starting at the path of health passed through picturesque avenues of Archabil and Bitarap Turkmenistan and ended in the centre of the capital, Rukhyet palace.

The Chairwoman of the Mejlis, members of the Government, heads of ministries and sectoral departments, city khyakimlik, public organisations, mass media, rectors of higher educational institutions became its participants. Heads and representatives of the diplomatic missions accredited in our country and international organisations also took part in the bicycle riding.

Children of the Palace «Döwletliler köşgi», schoolchildren of School of preparation of young Olympians and comprehensive schools, members of the national bicycle team of Turkmenistan, students, representatives of the public followed the column of bicyclists.

During the bicycle riding, the head of the state instructed profile heads to hold realisation of the National forest program, and work on modernisation of city infrastructure, maintenance of safe ecological environment, and creation of comfortable conditions for life of citizens under control.

On June 4, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which work carried out in the country for five months of the current year, was summed up.

As the head of Turkmenistan underlined, results show success of realisation of the adopted programs. GDP indicator for the accounting period was stably supported at level of 6,3 percent.

All adopted programs are successfully realised. Construction of large industrial complexes, social and cultural projects, including new settlements, apartment houses, schools, kindergartens and other objects proceeds.

Our main goal - improvement of standards of living of our people, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, having emphasised the importance of realisation of strict control over the course of realisation of the Program of social and economic development of the country in 2022 2028.

At the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan congratulated silkworm breeders of the country who have produced over 2 thousand 100 tons of cocoons of silkworm and successfully executed their production plans with their labour victory.

The President of the country also congratulated participants of the meeting and the Turkmen people with the sacred holiday of the Gurban bayramy, which personifies primordial spiritual-cultural heritage, traditions and customs.

The head of the state signed the Resolution, having approved the composition of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian commission on economic cooperation from the Turkmen party.

On June 5, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council, at which results of work of military and law enforcement bodies of the country for the January-May period of the current year were considered. Its agenda included issues of security and peace in our independent fatherland, strengthening of the material and technical basis of security bodies, further perfection of their activity.

That very day the telephone conversation between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian took place.

Heads of the states congratulated each other and fraternal people of both countries with the sacred Gurban bayramy and prayed for acceptance of wishes and sadaka by the almighty during bright holidays. President Masoud Pezeshkian also conveyed warm words of greeting and best regards to National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the conversation, the interlocutors underlined that trade and economic as well as cultural links between Turkmenistan and Iran consistently develop, having confirmed readiness henceforth to continue work to strengthen friendship and brotherhood bonds, to expand mutually beneficial partnership.

Passing to other events of the past week, we should point out that on June 4 in our country with participation of honourable elders a start to the grain harvesting campaign of 2025 was given. Grain-growers of Akhal, Lebap and Mary velayats started the wheat harvesting campaign. From June 11, grain growers of Balkan and Dashoguz velayats will also join them. This year, Turkmen grain-growers will produce 1 million 400 thousand tons of grain from 690 thousand hectares of land.

Avaza national tourist zone became a venue of the International dance-folklore festival «Avaza – a land of friendship».

For participation in the action organised by the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of  Foreign Affairs of the country and khyakimlik of Balkan velayat, members of the Government, heads and representatives of international organisations, profile ministries, performers of national musical instruments, scientists and specialists, workers of culture, dance groups from Iran, India, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan as well as mass-media, the faculty and students of profile higher educational schools gathered in the aqua park  of Avaza national tourist zone.

In the joint concert, which was held on the stage of the aqua park, the richest colourful musical genres, original national tunes, samples of primordial traditions of different people were displayed.

Within the festival in the conference hall of «Daýanç» health centre, the International forum «Küştdepdi - parahatçylyk waspçysy», devoted to research of folklore and traditions of national dance was held. Creative meetings, master classes on choreography also took place.

In the research institute of natural gas of «Türkmengaz» State Concern in the hybrid format the International scientific-practical conference «Ecological aspects of introduction of innovative technologies in development of deposits of hydrocarbons» (TESC-2025), organised by «Türkmengaz» and «Türkmennebit» State Concerns and «Türkmengeologiýa» State Corporation, was held.

Following the results of the conference, the corresponding document is adopted. Meetings, including in the online mode, between heads of structural divisions of the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan and their foreign partners for discussion of strategic areas of further interaction, were also held.

In the office building of the agricultural complex of the country, the scientific-practical conference «Future goals and international cooperation in the field of preservation of the environment in the International year of peace and trust», timed to World Environment Day took place.

Thus, in versatile events of the past week, overall objectives of the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state - further strengthening of stably developing economy, recognition of ecological outlook and principles of healthy way of life in society, education of physically strong, spiritually rich and harmoniously developed younger generation, creation of comfortable conditions for life and fruitful work Turkmen nationals and activization of constructive international cooperation found their reflection.
