Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and velayat khyakims to review issues of agricultural development and the progress of seasonal field work in the country.

The floor was first given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim R. Hojagulyev, who reported on the pace of agricultural campaigns in the region.

As was reported, at present, the necessary measures have been taken in the velayat to sow cotton within the agro-technical time frame.

Treatment of wheat fields is carried out in accordance with the established requirements, in particular, the application of mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation.

Planting potatoes, onions and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops continues, as well as vegetative irrigation of germinating seedlings.

Adequate arrangements are made for the organized lambing campaign of sheep and camels, a crucial season for livestock farmers.

In order to rationally use water and maintain the land reclamation condition, efforts are made to clean the irrigation and drainage systems.

The report also covered the construction progress of facilities for various purposes to be commissioned this year as part of the National Rural Program.

Having heard the report, and pointing out the need for high-quality implementation of seasonal agricultural measures, the head of state instructed the khyakim to ensure a high organizational level of sowing cotton and caring for the fields in accordance with agro-technical standards.

Stressing the importance of the successful implementation of the provisions provided for in the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep this issue under control.

Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work.

As was reported, measures are currently taken to organize cotton sowing, as well as to treat wheat fields in accordance with agro-technical standards.

In order to achieve the goals of providing the population with agricultural products in abundance, the planting of vegetable, watermelon and melon crops and vegetative irrigation are in progress in the velayat.

Livestock farms in the region are preparing for the lambing season, as well as working to increase the number of livestock.

Efforts are made to improve water supply to agricultural lands for the rational use of water resources.

The report included information on the construction dynamics of social and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year under the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028.

Having heard the report, and emphasizing the importance of carrying out seasonal agricultural work within agro-technical deadlines, which is one of the conditions for growing a bountiful harvest, the head of state instructed the khyakim to ensure proper organization of cotton sowing and compliance with agro-technical standards when caring for wheat.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also ordered to keep under strict control the construction quality and timing of various facilities scheduled for commissioning this year in the region as part of the National Rural Program.

The working meeting via a digital system was continued with the report from Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim S. Soltanmyradov on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As was reported, in order to successfully achieve the goals of growing a bountiful harvest in 2024, land treatment is carried out in the wheat fields of the region, including the application of mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation.

Measures are taken to organize the cotton sowing within the agro-technical time frame.

The planting of onions has been completed, and the sowing of potatoes and other vegetable crops continues in the velayat, and vegetative irrigation is underway in the sown areas. Along with this, irrigation work is underway in the fields where other food crops will be planted.

Measures are taken in livestock farms to organize the lambing campaign of sheep and camels, increase the number of livestock and create conditions for keeping them.

Along with this, irrigation and drainage canals are put in order to improve the water supply and reclamation condition of the region’s agricultural lands.

Information was provided on the construction progress of facilities to be commissioned in the velayat this year under the National Rural Program.

Summing up the report, the head of state specified that a crucial season in agriculture is coming, and instructed the khyakim to take the necessary measures to timely sow cotton and ensure care for wheat and other crops in accordance with agro-technical standards.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep under control the construction quality and timing of social and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning in the velayat this year.

Lebap Velayat Khyakim Sh. Then Mary Velayat Khyakim B. Orazov reported on the progress of agricultural campaigns in the region.

As was reported, in order to fulfill the assignments on strengthening food abundance in the country, treatment is currently underway in wheat fields, including the application of mineral fertilizers and irrigation.

For the purpose of the organized sowing of cotton, agricultural machinery, equipment and high-quality seeds adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the region have been prepared.

The vegetative irrigation of areas sown to potatoes and onions continues in the velayat, as well as preparations for planting other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.

The necessary measures are taken in specialized farms to increase the number of livestock and the amount of livestock products, care for animals and organize the lambing campaign for sheep and camels.

In order to effectively use land and water resources, collect water in reservoirs, efforts are made to improve water supply to the region’s areas under crops and clean irrigation and drainage systems.

The report also covered the construction pace of social and industrial facilities to be commissioned this year under the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov drew attention to the importance of the agricultural campaigns ongoing these days, instructing the khyakim to keep under constant control compliance with agro-technical standards when caring for wheat, and carrying out cotton sowing at a high organizational level.

The head of state also focused on the importance of the successful implementation of large-scale programs aimed at socio-economic development of the country and improving the social and living standards of the people, ordering to keep their progress under strict control.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who supervises the agro-industrial complex, on behalf of the country’s cotton growers, expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for blessing the start of the cotton sowing and wished Arkadag Hero Serdar and the Hero Arkadag sound health and success in their work.

Further, the deputy prime minister reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the regions of the country.

As was reported, appropriate preparations are underway in the velayats for the start of cotton sowing, including agricultural machinery, equipment, and high-quality seeds.

In order to fulfill the assignments on strengthening food abundance in the country, wheat fields treatment is currently in progress, including the application of mineral fertilizers and irrigation in accordance with agro-technical standards.

At the same time, measures are taken in the velayats to increase the production of potatoes, onions and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops. The sowing of spring crops continues in agricultural lands.

At the same time, in order to improve the supply of water to areas under crops, steps are taken to effectively use land and water resources, collect water in reservoirs, and clean irrigation and drainage systems.

Having heard the report, the President of Turkmenistan focused on the importance of an integrated approach to achieving the assigned goals to increase the agricultural crop production. In this regard, the head of state instructed the deputy prime minister to keep under strict control the issues of compliance with agro-technical standards when sowing cotton and caring for wheat.

Addressing the working meeting participants, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov once again focused on the fact that the important season, cotton sowing, is beginning, and ordered to take all measures to carry out sowing of this valuable crop at a high organizational level in the Akhal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary Velayats on 20 March, and in the Dashoguz velayat on March 27.

During the working meeting, its participants cordially congratulated the head of state on the anniversary of the inauguration as the President of Turkmenistan and on the upcoming National Spring Holiday, wishing President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people sound health, long years of life, and success in important activities for the benefit of the Turkmen people and prosperity of the Homeland.

Concluding the working meeting via a digital system, the President of Turkmenistan wished its participants new successes in achieving the assigned goals.
