The President of Turkmenistan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus

On January 7, 2025, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Stanislav Chepurny, who presented his credentials to the head of state.

Expressing gratitude for the time devoted to the meeting, the diplomat conveyed to the President of Turkmenistan, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, cordial greetings and best wishes from the President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, who confirmed his country’s commitment to traditionally friendly interstate dialogue.

Having conveyed warm greetings and good wishes to the leader of Belarus, the President of Turkmenistan congratulated Stanislav Chepurny on his appointment to a responsible diplomatic post. Expressing confidence that during the implementation of this important mission, the plenipotentiary representative of Belarus will strive to strengthen and develop fruitful bilateral cooperation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished him success in his work.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects of Turkmen-Belarusian relations based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, trust and constructive partnership. It was noted that the two countries actively interact not only bilaterally, but also multilaterally, within the framework of international and regional organizations, in particular the UN and the CIS.

In addition, the parties noted the importance of strengthening interstate humanitarian cooperation. The interaction of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus in the field of education and science, sports, culture and art contributes to the deepening of friendship ties between the two countries and peoples.

Having once again expressed sincere gratitude to the head of state for the opportunity of a personal meeting and wishing him success, the diplomat assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen the traditionally friendly Turkmen-Belarusian relations and expand mutually beneficial partnership that meets the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
