On January 7, 2025, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Fund for Development Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad.

Expressing gratitude to the head of state for the time allocated for the meeting, the guest noted that Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to multifaceted cooperation with Turkmenistan.

Warmly welcoming the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, the President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that his first visit to Turkmenistan would contribute to the consistent development of bilateral financial and economic partnership for the benefit of both sides.

During the meeting it was emphasized that Turkmenistan pays great attention to the expansion of mutually beneficial dialogue with the states of the world and reputable international financial structures. In this context, the high level of Turkmenistan’s cooperation with the Saudi Fund for Development was noted.

Turkmenistan has been cooperating for many years with the Fund, which has been actively involved in financing a number of major national and international projects, including healthcare, transportation, communications and finance.

These projects benefit not only the participating states, but also the interests of the peoples of the region, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized. Sincerely thanking the guest for helping to strengthen cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Saudi Fund for Development, the head of state expressed readiness to further enhance fruitful interaction.
