Decree of the President of Turkmenistan

On transfer of military personnel undergoing military service to the reserve from the Armed Forces, other armies and military bodies of Turkmenistan and regular conscription of citizens of Turkmenistan

According to the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the Law of Turkmenistan “On conscription and military service”, I decree:

1. To transfer the military personnel, who undergo military service to the reserve from the Armed Forces, other armies and military bodies of Turkmenistan to the reserve in October-December, 2023 and who have served the terms established in the Law of Turkmenistan “On conscription and military service”.

2. To draft male citizens of Turkmenistan, who have not the right to exemption from conscription or the rights to deferment and have attained 18 by day of conscription and have lost the right to deferment to 27 years into military service in October-December, 2023.

3. The present Decree comes into force from the moment of its publication.

In fulfilment of the Decree № 274 of the President of Turkmenistan of September 16, 2023 “On transfer of military personnel undergoing military service to the reserve from the Armed Forces, other armies and military bodies of Turkmenistan and regular conscription of citizens of Turkmenistan”, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Order, according to which, Minister of Defence of Turkmenistan, Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, Minister of National Security of Turkmenistan, Head of the State Border Service of Turkmenistan, Head of Security Service of the President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan shall dismiss military men, who have served their terms established in the Law of Turkmenistan “On conscription and military service”, in solemn conditions according to plans of dismissal and shall encourage excellent military servicemen of fighting and socially-humanitarian preparation.
