The President of Turkmenistan Held a Working Meeting via the Digital System

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and velayat hyakims to discuss issues related to the country’s agricultural sector and the work carried out in the regions.

The first to report was Ahal velayat hyakim T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural work in the region.

As reported, currently, as part of the upcoming wheat sowing, plowing of grain fields cleared of harvest, preparation of agricultural machinery and units, as well as high-quality seeds for the sowing season are underway.

In the areas sown with cotton, inter-row cultivation, soil fertilization with minerals and irrigation are carried out with the active use of agricultural machinery.

Along with the harvest, preparations are underway for the autumn sowing of potatoes and vegetable and melon crops grown on the region’s farmland.

The hyakim also reported on the progress of construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities planned for opening in the velayat this year in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the “National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028”.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of carrying out current seasonal work, in particular, caring for cotton, as well as laying the foundation for the harvest of agricultural crops next year in accordance with agricultural technology standards, addressing specific instructions to the hyakim in this regard.

In addition, the head of state ordered to monitor the quality and timely execution of construction work at facilities planned for commissioning in the region this year.

Then, the hyakim of the Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, in order to prepare the areas for the sowing season, plowing is carried out, and measures are taken for the proper functioning of agricultural machinery and the selection of high-quality wheat seeds.

In the fields of the region sown with cotton, inter-row cultivation, irrigation and fertilization with minerals continue.

In accordance with the tasks set to further strengthen food abundance in the country, work is underway related to the harvest of potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops grown in the region, and to providing the domestic market with these products. At the same time, the preparation of areas and seeds for the autumn sowing is underway. 

The hyakim also reported on the progress of construction of facilities planned for opening this year. 

Summarizing the report, the head of state emphasized that in the conditions of increased demand for agricultural products, and strict compliance with agricultural standards is a necessary requirement for obtaining rich harvests, giving the hyakim a number of specific instructions in this regard.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also ordered to ensure proper control over the quality and timely execution of construction work at the facilities scheduled for commissioning this year, within the framework of the programs for the socio-economic development of the Fatherland.

Then the hyakim of the Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the current agricultural campaigns in the region.

As noted, the grain harvest is currently at the final stage. In order to prepare for the upcoming sowing, plowing is underway on grain fields cleared of harvest and agricultural machinery and high-quality seeds are being prepared for wheat producers.

Inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilizer feeding and irrigation are carried out in cotton fields.

At the same time, work continues on harvesting potatoes and vegetable and melon crops, providing the domestic market with these products, as well as preparing for the autumn sowing. 

In accordance with agricultural technology standards, measures are being taken to care for and feed the rice fields of the region with mineral fertilizers.

The hyakim also reported on the pace of construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to carry out seasonal work on agricultural lands in the region in accordance with the established agro-technical terms and requirements, addressing the hyakim with a number of specific instructions on this matter.

The head of state also instructed to monitor the quality and timing of construction of various facilities scheduled for commissioning in the region this year in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Then, the hyakim of the Lebap velayat M. Annapepesov reported on the state of affairs in the region.

As reported, as part of the upcoming wheat sowing in the velayat, plowing and fertilizing fields with minerals are underway, as well as preparing agricultural machinery and wheat seeds for the season.

Inter-row cultivation, fertilizing with minerals and watering continue in areas sown with cotton.

In order to successfully fulfill the tasks set to provide the population with food products of domestic production in sufficient quantities, the velayat is taking appropriate measures to harvest vegetables and melons, store them in refrigerated warehouses and ensure uninterrupted delivery to the population. In the areas where these crops will be planted in the fall, plowing and leveling work is underway.

Rice fields in the region are cared for in accordance with agricultural technology standards. 

The hyakim also reported on the progress of construction of cultural, social and industrial facilities planned for opening in the velayat this year within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of taking scientifically based comprehensive measures to achieve high indicators in agriculture and, in this regard, instructed the hyakim to ensure constant monitoring of seasonal activities carried out on agricultural lands in the region in strict accordance with agricultural technology standards.

The President of Turkmenistan also ordered to keep under review the high-quality and timely completion of construction work at the facilities planned for opening this year in the velayat.

Then, the hyakim of the Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the progress of current agricultural campaigns.

It was reported that currently the region continues plowing fields freed from the grain harvest, preparing agricultural machinery, and preparing high-quality seeds for sowing wheat.

On the lands of the velayat sown with cotton, inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization and irrigation are carried out with the effective use of agricultural machinery.

Appropriate steps are being taken to harvest potatoes, vegetables, melons and other agricultural crops grown in the region and deliver these products to the population, as well as to prepare areas for the next sowing.

In addition, the necessary measures are being implemented to sow sugar beets within the established agro-technical terms on the territory of the velayat. Irrigation is carried out on the sown areas. 

The hyakim also reported on the progress of construction of cultural, social and industrial facilities scheduled for opening in the region this year within the framework of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that timely and high-quality implementation of agro-technical measures is one of the main conditions determining the efficiency of agricultural production and the quality of the products obtained, and gave the hyakim a number of specific instructions.

The head of state also emphasized the importance of successfully implementing the tasks envisaged by the programs for the socio-economic development of the Fatherland, ordering to keep the work carried out in this direction under constant control.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal campaigns in the country’s agriculture. 

As reported, currently, within the framework of agricultural activities carried out in Turkmenistan, appropriate steps are being taken to transport the harvested wheat crop from grain receiving points to warehouses and elevators, as well as to properly store the grain. In order to prepare for the upcoming sowing, plowing and leveling are being carried out in areas freed from the grain harvest. Necessary measures are being implemented to prepare agricultural machinery and high-quality wheat seeds for the season.

In the fields of the regions sown with cotton, in accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology, inter-row cultivation, fertilizing with minerals and irrigation are carried out.

Also, measures are continuing to care for rice fields in the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, and sowing of sugar beets in the Mary velayat. The areas where sugar beet shoots have been obtained are cared for in compliance with agricultural standards. 

In accordance with the set tasks for further strengthening food abundance in the country, work is underway in the regions to harvest potatoes and vegetable and melon crops, as well as to deliver these products to the population in a timely manner. At the same time, areas and seeds are being prepared for sowing these crops in the autumn.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the state pays special attention to the development of the agricultural sector, investing heavily in the purchase of modern agricultural machinery, the introduction of water-saving technologies, the construction of new irrigation systems, and the development of seed production and livestock farming. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to constantly monitor the successful implementation of the tasks set for the industry to further strengthen food abundance in the country and provide the processing industry with raw materials. 

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state once again emphasized the importance of the seasonal agro-technical measures being carried out and instructed to keep under review the implementation of work on caring for cotton in accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology, as well as to ensure the timely preparation of wheat seeds and other agricultural crops for next year’s harvest. 

Concluding the working meeting via the digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health, family well-being and great success in their work.
