In order to further strengthen the bonds of friendship and good-neighborliness between peoples, promote physical culture and sports, actively affirm the principles of a healthy lifestyle in society, widely attract the younger generation to sports, as well as to increase the international sports prestige of the country, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Decree authorizing the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports together with the International Kurash Association to hold the World Kurash Cup at the martial arts sports complex of the Ashgabat Olympic Village on November 23-28, 2023.

The document also prescribes the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports to develop and approve, in coordination with the International Kurash Association, the Regulations on holding the above-mentioned Championship.
