Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Mary velayat, where he got acquainted with the progress of seasonal field work. Here, the head of state held a working meeting with the participation of deputy prime ministers in charge of agricultural and construction-industrial complexes, and other relevant leaders.

The agenda included issues of further socio-economic development of the regions, in particular, increasing the efficiency and potential of the agro-industrial sector of the economy.

The solution of the tasks of the integrated development of the velayats of the country is constantly in the focus of attention of the President of Turkmenistan. In this context, targeted reforms aimed at optimizing working conditions and improving the quality of life of the population are being implemented.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A.Yazmyradov was the first to report on the dynamics of seasonal work in the fields, including those carried out in the south-eastern region.

As it was reported, according to agrotechnical norms, care of wheat crops, plowing and leveling of land for cotton are continuing on agricultural land. At the same time, the profile equipment, which will be involved in the spring sowing campaign, is being brought into proper operational condition.

Everything necessary is done to organize and perform the work in accordance with the established requirements.

The Deputy Prime Minister also reported on the measures taken to maintain a stable watercourse in the rivers, strengthen their banks and clean irrigation systems.

Summarizing the report and emphasizing the need for high-quality implementation of agricultural activities in order to successfully lay the harvest, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to optimize water consumption and irrigation of fields.

The working meeting continued with the report of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ch.Purchekov on the state of affairs in the construction and industrial sector, in particular, at industrial facilities in the region, as well as on the steps taken to ensure reliable energy supply.

After hearing the report and noting the key role of this sector in the structure of the national economy, the head of state highlighted the need to take targeted measures aimed at the integrated development of the construction and industrial sectors. In this regard, specific instructions were addressed to the Deputy Prime Minister.

Then the Secretary of the State Security Council, Defense Minister B.Gundogdyev reported on the implementation of the national Military doctrine, which is of purely defensive nature.

Summarizing the information and emphasizing the importance of the work carried out in this area, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave relevant instructions to the Secretary of the State Security Council and the Minister of Defense.

In his turn, the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the center of Akhal velayat D.Orazov reported on the state of affairs in the headed department.

After hearing the report, the head of Turkmenistan stressed the need for high-quality construction work, addressing a number of instructions to the head of the State Committee.

Then, D. Annaberdiev, the khyakim of Mary velayat, reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

Currently, in the region, care for wheat crops is carried out in accordance with agrotechnical requirements. Plowing and planning of land for this year’s cotton harvest, preparation of agricultural machinery for spring sowing, as well as for planting early potatoes and other vegetable crops are being carried out dynamically.

Along with this, it was reported about the hydrotechnical measures being carried out to strengthen the banks of rivers crossing the territory of the velayat.

Khyakim also reported on the measures taken for the high-quality and timely construction of facilities planned on the territory of the velayat in accordance with the Socio-Economic Development Program of the country and the National Rural Program.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the pace and quality of current field work are the key to a rich harvest in the future, stressing again that they should be carried out according to the established schedule and standards of agricultural technology. The head of state also gave a number of instructions concerning rational water use and efficient operation of agricultural machinery.

Summing up the results of the working meeting, the President of Turkmenistan wished the participants success in their work.

The preparation of land areas for the spring sowing of cotton is carried out along with the care of the fields sown with wheat.

Our country has created all conditions for the cultivation of rich harvests of agricultural crops. Tenants are provided with high-quality seeds, various fertilizers, and modern agricultural machinery. In all regions of the country, facilities, destined for agriculture, are being built and put into operation.

Increasing the volume of agricultural production, ensuring food abundance are priority directions of the state policy implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and aimed at improving the standard of living of the people, further strengthening the economic potential of the country.

Careful and rational water use is the key to obtaining rich harvests. Thanks to the progressive initiatives of the head of state, Turkmenistan actively applies the accumulated vast experience of irrigated agriculture, and large-scale agricultural projects are being implemented. To this end, advanced methods and innovative technologies that meet environmental standards are being introduced into the water sector.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the measures being implemented to strengthen the banks of the Karakum River flowing through the territory of the velayat. Work is being carried out here to ensure a uniform water flow. Powerful special equipment is involved in the work.

The best world experience is widely used in the water sector of the country, the latest technologies are being introduced.

All this facilitates the intensive development of the agro-industrial complex and further improvement of the living standard of the villagers.

After completing the working trip to Mary velayat, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived at Mary International Airport, from where he left for the capital.
