Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahalliyev and khyakims of the velayats to discuss issues related to the country’s agricultural sector and the work carried out in the regions.

The first to speak was the khyakim of the Ahal velayat T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, within the frame of the work on the fields of the velayat sown with wheat, mineral fertilizers are being applied and seedlings are being watered in accordance with agro-technical standards.

Preparation of areas for the current year’s cotton harvest and provision of producers with high-quality seeds of this crop for the sowing season are in the final stage.

Along with this, vegetation irrigation is carried out in the fields planted with spring potatoes and vegetable and melon crops.

Also, the velayat continues the corresponding preparations for the organized holding of a nationwide tree planting campaign.

In addition, the khyakim reported on the progress of construction work at social, cultural and industrial facilities planned for commissioning in the region this year within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, the head of state noted the importance of the seasonal agricultural campaigns currently underway and, in this regard, assigned the khyakim to ensure compliance with agricultural technology standards when caring for wheat and preparing for cotton sowing.

The President of the country also emphasized that timely and high-quality implementation of the tasks outlined in the adopted programs for the socio-economic development of the country is a necessary condition, and instructed the khyakim to monitor the work in this direction.

Then the khyakim of the Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, in order to successfully fulfill the tasks set to further strengthen food abundance in the country, care is being carried out in the velayat, in particular, watering of wheat.

At the same time, in order to sow cotton at the proper level, appropriate work is being carried out to prepare high-quality seeds for sowing.

Along with this, vegetative irrigation of potatoes and vegetable and melon crops is being carried out in the fields of the region.

As part of the preparation for the spring season, measures are being taken to prepare the relevant lands and seedlings for planting. 

The khyakim also reported on the progress of construction of various facilities in the region in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028.

Summarizing the report, the head of state noted the need to carry out agricultural activities, in particular, caring for wheat and preparing for sowing cotton, in accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology and gave the khyakim specific instructions in this regard.

Noting the importance of the successful implementation of the country’s socio-economic development programs, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the khyakim to monitor the work in this direction.

Then, the khyakim of the Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

As reported, in order to produce rich wheat harvest this year, mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation are being continued in the fields of the region in accordance with agro-technical standards.

In the areas allocated for cotton, work is being carried out in an organized manner to level, plan the land and wash irrigation. Also, seeds adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the region have been prepared in sufficient quantities for cotton growers.

Along with this, potatoes and onions are being planted in the velayat as part of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

In accordance with the tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan to turn the country into a flourishing region, the region is properly preparing land areas and seedlings for the spring tree planting campaign. 

In addition, the khyakim reported on the progress of construction work at social, cultural and industrial facilities that are planned to be commissioned this year within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of timely and organized implementation of the important season in agriculture, and in this regard gave the khyakim relevant instructions.

The head of state also ordered to monitor the proper and timely implementation of the work planned for this year in the velayat within the framework of the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Then, the khyakim of the Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov reported on the progress of current agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, in accordance with the tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan for the comprehensive development of the agricultural sector and strengthening food abundance in the country, seasonal work continues on the agricultural lands of the region.

Thus, additional mineral fertilizers and irrigation are being applied to the fields of the velayat sown with wheat.

As part of the preparation for the sowing of cotton, land leveling and planning, as well as flushing irrigation, are being carried out. The necessary measures are being taken to select high-quality seeds for cotton producers.

Along with this, irrigation is being carried out in order to obtain good shoots in areas planted with potatoes and onions.

The region is preparing a sufficient number of seedlings that will be planted in the region during the spring greening campaign, as well as the corresponding land plots for planting.

In addition, the khyakim reported on the progress of construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities planned for commissioning in the region this year within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of an integrated approach for the organized and timely implementation of seasonal agricultural work, and addressed the khyakim with relevant instructions.

The head of state also ordered to ensure control over the quality and timing of work at the facilities scheduled for commissioning in the velayat this year in accordance with the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Then, the khyakim of the Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the progress of current seasonal agricultural activities in the region.

As reported, these days, mineral fertilizers are being applied to the fields of the velayat sown with wheat, watering is being carried out, as well as cleaning the territory adjacent to the farmland.

In addition, the region is implementing the necessary measures within the framework of the upcoming cotton sowing to prepare the land, including their planning and watering. Steps are being taken to procure and store high-quality seeds for cotton growers in sufficient quantities.

At the same time, watering of fields planted with spring potatoes and onions, as well as planting of other vegetable and melon crops, continues.

In accordance with the errands of the President of Turkmenistan to turn the country into a flourishing region and create forest zones, the velayat is preparing to conduct a high-level tree planting season as part of a Nationwide Greening Campaign.

In addition, the khyakim reported on the progress of construction of socio-cultural and industrial facilities scheduled for opening this year in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that proper implementation of agro-technical measures currently carried out on agricultural lands is an important condition for obtaining rich harvests of agricultural crops, and in this regard gave the khyakim relevant instructions.

The head of state also instructed the khyakim to monitor the activities carried out in the region as part of the implementation of the country’s socio-economic development programs.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal work in the country’s agricultural sector.

As reported, the grain growers of the Fatherland, effectively using the enormous opportunities provided by the President of Turkmenistan, are currently fertilizing with minerals and watering wheat in the fields of the regions in accordance with agro-technical standards.

At the same time, flushing irrigation is carried out in the areas allocated for planting cotton, as well as preparing high-quality seeds for cotton growers for sowing.

In order to successfully fulfill the set tasks to increase the volume of production of potatoes, vegetables, melons and other food crops in the country and provide the population with them in sufficient quantities, sowing and care of crops continues on the agricultural lands of the regions.

In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the progress of preparations for the spring planting of trees.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that strict adherence to agricultural technology standards during seasonal agricultural work is an indispensable condition for obtaining rich harvests, efficient farming, achieving high indicators in this industry, and gave relevant instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister in this regard. 

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state once again emphasized the importance of agro-technical measures carried out in the fields of the velayats sown with wheat, instructing to carry out strict control over the preparation of land for sowing cotton within the agro-technical terms, carrying out flushing irrigation in the areas allocated for cotton in the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, as well as to take the necessary measures to provide cotton growers with high-quality seeds before the start of the sowing campaign. 

In addition, the President of Turkmenistan instructed to care for and water the wheat in the country’s fields in accordance with the standards of agricultural technology, to accelerate the pace of sowing spring potatoes and vegetable and melon crops in compliance with the established deadlines, and to ensure timely settlements for the work performed between cotton and wheat producers in the regions and service organizations and enterprises. 

The head of state noted the need for an organized spring tree planting and ordered to take appropriate measures in this direction in the regions, as well as to exercise strict control over the timely and high-quality implementation of the work planned for the current year within the framework of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program. 

At the end of the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants good health, family well-being and great success in their work.
