Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has become acquainted with project designs for different buildings and facilities soon-to-be-built in Ashgabat.
The head of state arrived at the Ruhyet Palace to examine the project designs.
The presentation of projects of the Ashgabat Redevelopment Program’s next stage is an important part of the massive efforts aimed at the Turkmen capital’s comprehensive development. Among those in attendance were the Mejlis Chairperson, Deputy Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Milli Gengesh, Cabinet Deputies Chairman, and members of the State Security Council, heads of some sectoral ministries and agencies. The event was organized following the instructions given by the head of state at the recent working meeting.
The project proposals were drafted on instructions from the head of state to further develop the capital and improve its architectural look.
In particular, new buildings for municipal services will be constructed at the intersection of S. Turkmenbashi Avenue and A. Niyazov Avenue. Master and location plans, and photographic images showing various views of the complex were presented to the President of Turkmenistan for consideration.
New buildings of the 1st Specialized Military School (Ministry of Defense) named after Berdimuhamed Annaev is also planned to be built on S. Turkmenbashi Avenue.
Then, the head of state explored display easels with project designs for a complex of buildings of the International Research and Clinical Center of Physiology to be built on Magtymguly Avenue.
While becoming familiar with healthcare construction projects, the head of Turkmenistan examined sketch drawings of a complex of buildings of the International Treatment and Rehabilitation Center to be constructed on A. Niyazov Avenue.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also inspected project designs for the capital’s multipurpose 10, 000-seat Creativity and Arts Center.
The head of state also familiarized himself with design solutions, a master plan, and photographic images of the Dokmaçylar Cultural Center.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reviewed in detail proposals for the recreation area projects on the shores of Altyn Köl Lake in the north of Ashgabat.
Design proposals for a park project in the western part of the capital’s Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue, as well as design plans for a residential complex and social facilities on Gurbansoltan Street were presented to the nation’s leader for consideration.
After examining the proposed projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov offered a number of issue-associated remarks and made some amendments. As the nation’s leader noted, social facilities should be conveniently and well located and boast distinctive design features. Not only should the architectural design of the new buildings fully meet present-day requirements, but also incorporate national decorative elements, the head of state said, having highlighted the need to comply with the building regulations imposed for the facilities.
The head of state also examined design solutions for the International Oncology Center project.
Then, the nation’s leader inspected projects for the reconstruction and modernization of all bridges in Ashgabat.
As the head of state stated, construction of road and transport infrastructure (as well renewal and renovation of existing facilities), alongside social facilities, is regarded as one of the key aspects of the innovative Ashgabat Redevelopment Program.
The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of giving considerable attention to architectural décor of buildings and facilities during the construction. Following the examination of the planned construction projects, the head of state once again stressed the need for all the works carried out as part of the Ashgabat Redevelopment Program to comply with international standards as well as to widely use distinctive national decorative motifs in exterior and interior designs of the buildings.
