Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and khyakims of the velayats to review the pace of work in the agricultural sector and regions of the country.
The first to speak was the khyakim of the Ahal velayat T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the progress of seasonal field campaigns.
As noted, wheat is currently being cared for in the region in accordance with agro-technical standards.
In preparation for sowing cotton, land leveling and planning is being carried out.
Along with this, in order to provide cotton growers with high-quality seeds adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the region, cotton ginning enterprises continue to work on the procurement and proper storage of seed material.
Based on the objectives set by the President of Turkmenistan to supply the population with fruit and vegetable products produced in the country, the planting of potatoes and onions has begun in the velayat, and the necessary measures are being taken to prepare the land and seeds of other fruit and vegetable crops.
In addition, it was reported on the work to maintain the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, enterprises, schools, kindergartens and other social and cultural facilities, as well as uninterrupted energy, gas and water supply.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that compliance with agro-technical standards when caring for wheat and preparing fields for sowing promotes an increase in the yield of agricultural crops, and gave the khyakim relevant instructions in this regard.
Then the khyakim of the Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of agricultural work in the region. As reported, in order to obtain a rich harvest this year, the areas sown with wheat are cared for in accordance with agricultural technology standards.
Along with this, the necessary measures are being taken to prepare the fields for sowing and high-quality cotton seeds.
Efforts are also being made to prepare the land, seed material and organize the sowing of potatoes and other fruit and vegetable crops.
In connection with the ongoing winter season, the khyakim reported on the work to ensure the uninterrupted supply of residential buildings and socio-cultural facilities with heat, electricity, natural gas and drinking water.
Summarizing the report, the head of state noted that an important requirement of today is the high-quality implementation of agricultural measures, addressing a number of specific instructions to the head of the regional administration in this regard.
Then, the khyakim of the Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As reported, currently, in accordance with agricultural standards, work continues on fertilizing wheat fields with minerals and watering. In the areas allocated for sowing cotton, leveling, planning and flushing irrigation are carried out.
Steps are being taken to prepare for sowing high-quality cotton seeds that correspond to the soil and climatic conditions of the region and to provide with them to producers.
Along with this, fields and seeds are being prepared for the spring planting of potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops.
The khyakim also reported on the measures taken to ensure the proper functioning of heating systems at social and cultural facilities in the region, as well as the uninterrupted supply of electricity, natural gas and drinking water to the population during the ongoing winter period.
Summarizing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of strict adherence to agro-technical standards when carrying out agricultural work, especially when caring for wheat and preparing for sowing cotton, and gave specific instructions to the khyakim in this regard.
Then, the khyakim of the Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As noted, mineral fertilizers and irrigation continue to be applied to the wheat fields of the velayat.
In preparation for the sowing of cotton, land leveling, planning and flushing irrigation are being carried out.
In addition, efforts are being made to prepare high-quality cotton seeds to provide agricultural producers.
Along with this, the required volume of potato and onion seeds is being prepared, and the necessary measures are being taken to sow these crops in a timely manner.
It was informed on ensuring the proper operation of heating systems in residential buildings and other socio-cultural facilities in the region in the context of the ongoing winter period, uninterrupted supply of electricity, natural gas and drinking water to the population.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that strict adherence to agro-technical standards is one of the main conditions for effective agricultural management, and in this regard, he gave the khyakim relevant instructions.
Then, the khyakim of the Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work.
As noted, currently, wheat fields are being fertilized with minerals, watered and cleaned of nearby areas.
In order to prepare for cotton sowing, the leveling and planning of areas, the preparation of high-quality seed material for farmers are ongoing.
The planting of potatoes and onions has begun in the region, and efforts are being made to conduct this important season in a timely and high-quality manner, as well as to prepare seeds and areas for sowing other vegetable and melon crops.
It was reported on the measures taken to ensure the uninterrupted operation of heating systems in residential buildings, schools and kindergartens, and to supply the population with electricity, natural gas and drinking water.
After hearing the report, the head of state focused on the importance of the tasks currently facing the agricultural sector, in connection with which he assigned the khyakim to ensure high-quality and timely care of wheat fields, as well as preparation of the land for sowing cotton.

In accordance with the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan to further strengthen food abundance in the country, efforts are being made to prepare seed material and areas for sowing spring vegetable and melon crops, as well as its organized implementation.
Summarizing the report, the head of state noted that the quality of agricultural crops is directly determined by compliance with agricultural technology standards, and therefore this requirement must be met during agricultural activities, in particular, when caring for wheat and preparing land for sowing. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was given specific instructions.
Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to strictly control the work on leveling, planning, ridge-making and flushing irrigation of lands allocated for sowing cotton, to take the necessary measures to provide agricultural producers with high-quality seeds, and to care for wheat in accordance with agricultural standards.
At the same time, the head of state ordered to carefully prepare the soil and seeds for the spring planting of potatoes and vegetable and melon crops, to increase the rate of sowing, to ensure timely payments for work performed between cotton and wheat producers and service institutions in the regions, as well as the uninterrupted operation of heating systems in residential buildings, schools and kindergartens, and to strictly control the supply of electricity, natural gas and drinking water to the population.
Concluding the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants good health, family well-being and success in their work.
