Today, the capital has hosted a festive concert by performing artists in front of the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Center to mark President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s birthday.  

The President of Turkmenistan is a prominent public and political figure, known for his proactive and innovative approach to tackling global challenges of humanity, who has deservedly gained a high reputation in the international community. 

This theme ran through a song ‘Dünýäň Beýik Lideri Siz, Arkadag!’ that opened the festive concert entitled ‘Alkyş Size, Şöhrat Size, Arkadag!’ 

The event continued with performances by famous musicians, and accomplished pop and folk singers. Dance ensembles and folk groups also dazzled the audience with their prowess. Each item on the festive program powerfully demonstrated the people’s true love and admiration for their national hero – Arkadag.  

The concert featured a song ‘Bagt Nury’ with lyrics and music by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Much loved by the people of Turkmenistan, the song was a special treat and wonderful gift for the audience. The beautiful melody and thoughtful lyrics touched a place deep inside the hearts of the listeners who broke into enthusiastic applause.

The crowning moment of the concert came with the ancient dance Kushtdepdi. Through the unique language of dance, dancers expressed the unity of the people of Turkmenistan led by their national leader whose massive efforts are aimed to ensure happy lives of the beloved people and the prosperity of the much-loved homeland. 

Sung by all the singers and performers, a song called ‘Uzak Ýaşa, Arkadag!’ provided a grand and dramatic finale to the concert. The inspirational lyrics and music were a true reflection of happiness and great pride millions of our citizens feel for independent, neutral Turkmenistan, enjoying its heyday, and this is closely associated with the nation’s leader – Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.   

The passionate ode to the modern epoch, grandiose achievements of the beloved home country, steadily advancing on the road of peace, progress and creation, won a thunderous ovation from the event attendees, who enthusiastically chanted: ‘Şöhrat Size, Arkadag!’, ‘Uzak Ýaşa, Arkadag!’
