These days, independent neutral Turkmenistan is preparing to celebrate the 27th anniversary of independence. Thanks to ongoing wide-ranging programs, our people’s living standards and social conditions are improving, and significant progress has been made in all spheres. Together with all, the younger generation also contributes to the development of our country and to ensuring the welfare of the people. We attach great importance to the construction and commissioning of new social and cultural facilities, plants and factories, creation of jobs and perfection of talents of the younger generation in every region, city and district of the country, stated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in his address.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is currently on the working trip to Balkan Velayat, held offsite joint session of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council. Realization of the programmes of social and economic development was the main subjects of the session.

By the Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Berdimammmet Annamammedov, previously occupying the post of the Deputy Hyakim of Turkmenbashy etrap, Balkan Velayat, was appointed as the Hyakim of Avaza etrap of Turkmenbashy city, Balkan Velayat and the Board Chairman of Avaza National tourist zone.

President Gurbangul Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution, according to which August 22, 23 and 24 are announced as the days of Kurban Bayramy celebration and would be non-working days.

Delegation of our country will take part in Turkmen – Austrian business forum in Vienna. . The main purpose of this event is to activate the trade and investment partnership between business circles of Turkmenistan and Europe, study of new opportunities of export of local goods and establishment of direct contacts in different spheres.

During the session of the Government on August 17, Turkmen leader focused on the outcomes of the Summit of the Heads of Caspian States in Aktau. The President instructed Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Foreign Minister R. Meredov to review the objectives of the implementation of planned measures together with other Vice-ministers.

At the session of the Government on August 17, Vice-premier G. Myradov informed on initial draft of the Programme of the President of Turkmenistan on social and economic development of the country in 2019 – 2025 developed together with the ministries, departments and hyakimliks of Ashgabat and velayats.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management to sow the wheat around the country and produce the production of the yield in relevant volume based on the contracts with farming associations, agricultural facilities, farmers and landlords together with the hyakimliks of the velayats. In general, it is planned to allocate 760 hectares of land for winter crops and produce 1,600,000 tons of grain in 2019.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, having assigned the Office of the President of Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to hold the Summit of the Heads of the States – the founders of the International Fund for Saving of Aral Sea (IFAS) in Avaza National tourist zone on August 24.

Information about preparation to the state visit of President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov to Turkmenistan next week has been presented at the session of the Government on August 1. It was informed that the agenda of high-level talks would include wide spectrum of objectives of interstate relations, which traditionally have friendly character. It is planned to sign the number of bilateral documents by the outcomes of the visit aimed at the bringing of Turkmen – Kyrgyz cooperation to new levels.
