“I congratulate you on the beginning of the XXIII International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2018”, the main goal of which are to popularize the achievements of the fuel and energy complex of our country all around the world”, says the President in his address. “The International conference and exhibition are to play a significant role in sharing experience with foreign partners in exploring and developing energy resources, modernizing the industry in compliance with the international standards. “The efficient use of the natural resources of Turkmenistan, the increase of the economic potential of the country are the key aspects of the energy policy of the state. In this regard, the development of the oil and gas industry in the years of independence has become a priority of the economic growth. The establishment of the energy resources export routes through diversification, the creation of the multi-faceted pipeline transportation systems stand as an important part of the energy policy of the state. Jointly with partners, we successfully implemented ambitious projects on the construction of large energy bridges to the east and south. They are strategically important for ensuring the global energy safety, and creating the system for the transportation of energy resources. A number of international projects testifies to the establishment of the new fuel and energy infrastructure on the Eurasian continent. “The construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline will offer a powerful impetus to maintaining the sustainable development and strengthening peace in the region, enhancing the economic relations. Our country has conducted ambitious work to increase the volumes of oil and gas production and processing, as well as production of various oil and gas products that are of great demand on the world markets. “In recent years, we have paid significant attention to the development of the petrochemical and gas chemical industries. Whereas, one of our key tasks is to efficiently use the rich hydrocarbon reserves, to increase the volumes of processing and export-oriented energy resources. In this regard, we have systematically modernized the processing industry. That is vividly proved by the launch of production of ECO-5 diesel fuel that meets the Euro-5 standards and polypropylene film at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries. “Moreover, the goals for the further development of this sphere have been developed based on the analysis of the state of the regional and world markets. Development of the polymeric materials production are among the most promising areas. “Along with the efficiency of the industry work, the increase of the volumes of hydrocarbon resources to the world energy markets will open up wide opportunities for the capacity growth of the gas chemical industry. Opening the natural gas chemical complex on the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in Kiyanly settlement, Balkan Velayat, as well as the construction of a plant for the production of Euro-5 gasoline from natural gas in Ovadandepe settlement, Ahal Velayat are among the significant achievements in this sphere. The implementation of new projects in the oil and gas industry will promote the complex industrialization of the regions in the country, the dynamic development of the national economy, the increase of the volumes of production of goods that are of great demand on the world markets”, says the President of Turkmenistan in his address.
