Today, the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University hosted an International Scientific and Practical Conference on "Sustainable Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex" via digital system.

The event was attended by representatives of relevant scientific and educational institutions and higher educational establishments of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey, Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus.

A wide range of issues related to the exchange of experience in agriculture was discussed during the forum.

As the speakers noted, under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, along with other sectors of the national economy, the agricultural sector is continuously developing, strengthening its export potential. In this regard, great importance is attached to the effective use of land and water resources, the introduction of modern technologies, and the latest scientific achievements.

For the sustainable development of the industry in accordance with the requirements of the time, Turkmen scientists and specialists are carrying out relevant work on the introduction of scientifically based crop rotation and increasing the volume of produced products. In this regard, cooperation with countries in the region and the world, as well as with relevant international organizations, is of great importance. Exhibitions, scientific conferences and business meetings, held in Turkmenistan with the participation of foreign representatives, are clear evidence of this.

During the conference, it was emphasized that ecological well-being is the most important condition for ensuring food security and food abundance. In this regard, necessary measures are being taken in our Homeland within the framework of the National Climate Change Strategy and the National Forest Program. Turkmenistan, which was one of the first to adapt the Sustainable Development Goals at the national level, is actively participating in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

Supporting targeted international efforts, our country advocates for the development of balanced solutions to challenges in this area for the future. A vivid confirmation of this is the development of effective cooperation of Turkmenistan with the UN and its specialized agencies, including the Food and Agriculture Organization.

The introduction of the principles of the "green" economy concept into the agricultural sector is an important requirement of today to ensure sustainable development and ecological well-being.

Global sustainable food security is one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and one of the main challenges of our time in a rapidly changing world economy. The production of high-quality, environmentally friendly, competitive food products has been consistently increased as a result of the implementation of comprehensive measures in this area under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

In recent years, Turkmenistan has been paying special attention to the widespread introduction of modern agricultural technologies, including precision farming systems and automation of relevant operations. This allows producers to manage resources more efficiently and reduce costs.

It was also noted that thanks to the far-sighted state policy pursued by the President of Turkmenistan, the legislative framework and production relations in the agricultural sector are constantly improving.

In addition, financial and economic incentives for agricultural producers inspire them to new labor achievements. Along with this, the state provides preferential loans for the purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment from leading world companies.

Regular scientific research and development in the agricultural sector, as well as the training of highly qualified specialists, are important conditions for the sustainable development of the industry. As a result of the diligent work of scientists and agricultural specialists, as well as farmers, crop yields have increased, and a reliable food base for the country has been ensured.

This not only ensures food security but also helps to adapt to changing conditions while maintaining ecological balance. In this regard, the speakers expressed confidence that the current forum will strengthen and expand mutually beneficial ties for the successful solution of upcoming tasks.

Then the international scientific and practical conference continued its work in sections: "Agronomy, Horticulture and Ecology", "Economics and Management in the Agro-Industrial Complex, Humanities, Mathematical Sciences, Agricultural Engineering", as well as "Food Industry, Innovative Technologies in Water Management, Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Light Industry".
