Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and velayat hyakims to consider issues related to the country’s agricultural sector and the work carried out in the regions.

The first to speak was Ahal velayat hyakim T. Nurmyradov.

Introducing the report, the hyakim reported the good news that the region’s grain growers successfully fulfilled their contractual obligations, harvesting more than 400 thousand tons of wheat, and on behalf of the residents of the velayat, expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, for the conditions created for productive work.

Then, reporting on the progress of the current seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region, the hyakim said that the grain harvest is currently in its final stage. In order to prepare the land for the next sowing season, plowing is being carried out on the fields freed from the harvest. At the same time, wheat seeds are being selected for the next sowing. Necessary measures are being taken to ensure timely payments to grain producers for the harvested crop.

Inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization and irrigation continue in the velayat’s fields sown with cotton.

Corresponding work is underway to harvest potatoes and vegetable and melon crops grown on the agricultural lands of the region and to provide domestic markets with these products.

The hyakim also reported on the progress of construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities planned for opening in the region this year within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Socio-Economic Development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sincerely congratulated the grain growers of the velayat on the fulfillment of contractual obligations and wished them further success in their work.

Among the main areas of ongoing seasonal agricultural work, the head of state noted the collection of the remaining wheat crop in the fields without losses and to the last grain and the implementation of agricultural measures at the proper level in areas with cotton, giving specific instructions to the hyakim.

In addition, the President of Turkmenistan assigned the hyakim to monitor the high-quality and timely construction of facilities planned for commissioning in the region this year.

Then, the hyakim of the Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As reported, the region is currently harvesting wheat to the last grain and without losses, preparing fields freed from the harvest for the next sowing season, and preparing high-quality wheat seeds for the next season.

Necessary measures are being taken to ensure timely payments to wheat producers for the harvested crop.

Irrigation, inter-row cultivation and feeding of crops with mineral fertilizers are carried out in the cotton fields of the velayat.

In accordance with the tasks set to further strengthen food abundance in the country, work is underway to procure potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops grown in the velayat and provide domestic markets with these products.

The hyakim also reported on the progress of construction of facilities planned to be commissioned in the region this year within the framework of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

Summarizing the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted that strict adherence to agricultural technology standards during agricultural work is the main condition for obtaining rich harvests in the future, instructing the hyakim in this regard to monitor the agricultural activities carried out on the region’s agricultural lands.

The head of state also emphasized the importance of successfully implementing the tasks outlined in the country’s socio-economic development programs, giving the hyakim a number of instructions.

Then, the hyakim of the Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the region.

It was reported that the harvest of wheat grown in the fields of the velayat continues. In order to prepare for the sowing of the next year, plowing of areas cleared of grain and preparation of seed material is carried out. Everything necessary is being done for timely settlements with wheat producers for the harvest delivered to the state.

In the fields of the velayat sown with cotton, inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization and irrigation are carried out with the effective use of agricultural machinery.

At the same time, the harvesting of spring potatoes and vegetable and melon crops is underway.

Along with this, in the velayat, care for rice fields and mineral fertilization in accordance with agro-technical standards continue.

The hyakim also reported on the progress of construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning in the region this year within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted the need to take comprehensive measures to ensure high-quality and organized implementation of agro-technical activities, addressing specific instructions to the hyakim in this regard.

The head of state also ordered to monitor the implementation of the work planned for the current year in the region in accordance with the programs for the socio-economic development of the country.

Then the hyakim of the Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, plowing of lands is currently underway to prepare fields cleared of wheat for the next sowing season. During these works, special attention is paid to the efficient operation of agricultural machinery. The procurement of high-quality wheat seeds is also ongoing. Necessary measures are being taken to ensure timely payments to wheat producers for the harvest delivered to the state.

Inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization and watering of cotton are carried out in accordance with agricultural technology standards on agricultural lands of the velayat.

Along with caring for fields with spring potatoes and vegetable and melon crops, the harvest of these crops continues.

Rice fields in the region are cared for in accordance with agricultural technology requirements.

The hyakim also reported on the pace of construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities planned for opening in the region this year within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028.

As reported, the necessary measures are being taken to harvest the wheat crop grown in the velayat without losses. In preparation for next year’s sowing, fields cleared of grain crops are being ploughed and high-quality seeds are being selected. Steps are being taken to ensure timely payments to producers for the delivered wheat crop.

Inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization and irrigation are being carried out in the cotton fields of the velayat in accordance with agricultural technology standards.

As reported, the wheat harvest in the Fatherland is in its final stage. Payments to producers for the grain harvest delivered to the state are made in a timely manner. Along with this, work is underway to prepare areas and wheat seeds for the next year sowing.

In the regions, cotton fields continue to be cared for in accordance with agricultural technology standards, in particular, inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization and irrigation.

Work is also being carried out to care for rice fields in the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, and sugar beet sowing continues in the Mary velayat.

Guided by the tasks set to further strengthen food abundance in the country, events are being held in the regions to harvest and deliver potato and vegetable and melon crops to the population.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the important role of the agricultural sector in the national economy. In this regard, the head of state noted the need for widespread introduction of modern methods and technologies, advanced experience in agricultural production to increase the yield and quality of agricultural products in order to further develop the industry in accordance with the requirements of the time, addressing a number of specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister.

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state emphasized the importance of taking the necessary measures for the proper completion of the grain harvesting campaign, as well as high-quality care of cotton, laying the foundation for the wheat harvest of next year, ordering to keep the work carried out in this direction under strict control.
