On June 29, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Head of Uzbekistan congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people on his birthday, wishing him good health, long life and success in his multifaceted activities for the sake of further prosperity of the Turkmen state and a prosperous life for the Turkmen people.

Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan successfully cooperate not only in a bilateral format, but also within the framework of international structures, as fully evidenced by mutual support for international initiatives and proposals put forward on the sidelines of reputable organizations.

Trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties are also developing dynamically, and cooperation in science and education is successfully expanding. At the same time, a regular and constructive dialogue has been established between the ministries and departments of the two countries.

The interlocutors also noted the importance of further enhancing cooperation between the legislative bodies of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
