Guided by the principles of mercy and humanism bequeathed by our great ancestors, in order to further strengthen the unity and cohesion of the Turkmen society and each family, as well as on the occasion of the 33^rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree «On pardoning convicts on the occasion of the 33^rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence», releasing the pardoned citizens of our country from further serving the main sentence in the form of imprisonment, as well as from the additional punishment in the form of imposing the obligation to live in a certain area.
