World Climate Summit opens in Dubai

The opening ceremony of the World Climate Summit took place in Dubai, in which the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in the UAE on a working visit, takes part.

At the opening, which took place at «Dubai EXPO City», the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UN General-Secretary Antonio Guterres delivered welcoming remarks.

Next, the Global Forum will continue to work in the format of plenary sessions. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov will speak at the climate summit and voice Turkmenistan’s position on the agenda.

Thus, the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the Global Climate Forum again clearly confirms the commitment of neutral Turkmenistan to fulfill its obligations to the world community. After all, the Earth is our common home, which we must protect and preserve for future generations. In an effort to promote the optimization of international cooperation in solving vital problems that have a multidimensional dimension, our country is making a concrete contribution to strengthening coordinated joint actions on which the future of all humanity depends.
