Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of velayats to discuss the progress of agricultural campaigns in the regions and other issues.

The floor was first given to the Akhal Velayat Khyakim Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on the pace of seasonal field works.

These days, cotton and wheat fields treatment is under way in strict accordance with agro-technical standards, in particular, watering, inter-row processing, thinning and weeding.

In addition, guided by the objectives set by the President of the country to sufficiently provide the population with agricultural products, plantations of potato, onion and other crops are treated in the velayat. Measures are taken to successfully complete the cocoons production season.

The khyakim informed about the preparations for celebrating the Constitution and State Flag Day of Turkmenistan, as well as the construction pace of various buildings and engineering facilities under the National Rural Program, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that the future harvests depend on the success of seasonal agricultural campaigns today. In this regard, the head of state instructed the khyakim to keep under strict control the work on caring for cotton crops, including its quality and timely implementation.

The President of the country also gave a number of instructions on compliance with the agro-technical requirements when caring for wheat and vegetable crops, and timely fulfillment of the cocoons production plan.

Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim T. Atahallyev reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

In order to supply water to the agricultural lands of the country and manage the efficient use of water resources, the “Türkmensuwylymtaslama” Institute of the State Committee for Water Management is carrying out design work on the use of irrigation runoff in agricultural lands in accordance with established rules.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov specified that the main goal today is the timely completion of agricultural activities, as well as compliance with agro-technical standards when caring for cotton, wheat, potatoes, onions and other crops. The head of state ordered to keep under strict control the fulfillment of the cocoons production plan and gave the vice-premier a number of instructions.

Addressing the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agro-industrial complex and the khyakims of velayats, the President of the country emphasized that the agricultural industry currently has important objectives, and therefore, the progress of seasonal works must be strictly controlled and carried out in accordance with the agro-technical requirements. The head of state also focused on the quality of work at the facilities scheduled for construction under the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Country and the National Rural Program.

During the meeting, the participants cordially congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
