Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of velayats to consider issues related to the progress of seasonal field work in the country.

First, the floor was given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

As was reported, the care for wheat crop is carried out in strict accordance with agro- technical standards, and the preparation of lands for sowing cotton is in progress.

Steps are taken to care for early potatoes and onions planted in the fields of the region, as well as to conduct the cocoons production campaign in an organized manner.

Preparations are underway for events on the occasion of National Spring Holiday and a nationwide tree planting campaign.

In addition, the khyakim reported on the implementation of provisions outlined in the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028.

Having heard the report, the head of state emphasized that the most important requirement of today is the timely and high-quality completion of seasonal field works.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep under constant control the issues of preparing land for the upcoming cotton sowing, caring for wheat and other early crops in accordance with the agro-technical requirements.

The President of the country instructed the governor of the region to ensure the well-organized holding of a nationwide tree planting campaign, as well as preparations for events on the occasion of National Spring Holiday.

Specifying that improving the living standards of the people is a priority of the state policy, the head of Turkmen state gave specific instructions to the khyakim to control the construction of various facilities planned for commissioning this year within the framework of the National Rural Program.

Then, Balkan Velayat Khyakim T. Atahallyev reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

Work is under way on land leveling for cotton sowing, and on care for wheat and early vegetables.

Information was given about preparations for the cocoons production season.

Measures are taken to provide a high level of celebrating National Spring Holiday and conducting a nationwide tree planting campaign.

The khyakim also reported on the progress of building social and industrial facilities, and engineering installations, provided for by the National Rural Program, the commissioning of which is scheduled for this year.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out the need for a responsible approach to conducting seasonal agricultural campaigns in strict compliance with the agro-technical requirements and gave specific instructions to the khyakim to accelerate the wheat care pace.

The President of the country stressed the importance of proper preparation of land for cotton sowing, treatment of early potato and onion plantations in accordance with agro-technical standards. Special instructions concerned the high level organization of a nationwide tree planting campaign and events on the occasion of National Spring Holiday.

The head of state specified that the implementation of programs aimed at raising the standard of living and improving the wellbeing of the population must be approached with all responsibility, ordering to control the quality and deadlines of the construction of social and industrial facilities to be commissioned this year.

The working meeting via a digital system was continued with the report of Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim N. Nazarmyradov on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

As was reported, agricultural work is carried out in compliance with agro-technical standards. At present, wheat fields are fertilized and irrigated, the land is prepared for cotton sowing, in particular, leveled and washed.

The planting of early potatoes and onions is in progress. Preparations are also underway for the cocoons production season, celebration of National Spring Holiday and organized conducting a nationwide trees planting campaign.

Information was provided on the work planned in accordance with the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program.

The head of state gave specific instructions to the khyakim on accelerating the pace of preparation for cotton sowing, as well as on caring for wheat and planting potatoes and onions in accordance with agro-technical standards.

Focusing on the facilities scheduled for opening this year under the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the governor of the region to keep the quality of construction work under strict control and their completion according to schedule.

At the same time, application of mineral fertilizers, vegetative irrigation, and weeds and pests control activities are carried out in wheat fields. Everything necessary is done for the proper and timely treatment of early potato and onion plantations in accordance with the established requirements.

The deputy prime minister also informed about the measures to provide cocoon producers with high-quality silkworm eggs.

Summing up the report and focusing on the key role of agriculture in the national economic complex, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov identified the completion of seasonal works in the fields, in particular, grain care, in accordance with agro-technical standards as one of the basic requirements.

In this context, the head of state instructed the deputy prime minister to speed up the pace and ensure the timely completion of land treatment for sowing cotton, implementing measures to care for wheat and planting vegetables, watermelons, melons and gourds.

Addressing the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agro-industrial sector and the governors of the regions, the President of the country ordered to keep the preparation of lands for cotton sowing and care for wheat and other crops under constant control. Separate instructions concerned the organized holding of the silkworm cocoons production and a nationwide tree planting campaign.
