Today, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh, Honored Elder of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, at the request of the head of State Committee for the Construction of the Center of the Akhal Velayat D. Orazov and Arkadag City Khyakim Sh. Durdylyev, made a working trip to the city of Arkadag to get familiarized with the projects of the main mosque to be constructed in the administrative center of the region.

Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the Center of Akhal Velayat Orazov and Khyakim of the new modern city Sh. Durdiliyev submitted for consideration by the Hero Arkadag the projects of the mosque planned for construction, its location schemes, design sketches, including interior decoration, the building for holding sadaqat to be built near the spiritual temple.

Information was also provided on the technical specifications of the mosque, its height, area, color solution, as well as on the upcoming work on the improvement of the adjacent area.

The Turkmen people have at all times carefully preserved their national traditions and cultural values. Noting that Islam is an integral part of the cultural values of our people, the Haji Arkadag, having familiarized himself with the projects and drawings of the new mosque, emphasized the appropriateness of building a madrasah school at it.

Focusing on the need to carry out all construction works, which testify to the commitment of the Turkmen people to noble principles, taking into account the increased requirements of modern times, the Arkadag made a number of corrections and proposals for their implementation in the submitted projects.

Then Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the Center of Akhal Velayat D. Orazov and Hyakim of Arkadag city Sh. Durdylyev.

The Arkadag specified that today ensuring the principles of independence, openness and transparency in society, and the happy life of the people is one of the main lines of the state policy. It is important that the architectural look of the mosque is in harmony with all the new buildings of the new city, and the surrounding areas must be landscaped in an appropriate manner.

Speaking about the fact that modern mosques were built and put into operation in all regions of the country, where noble principles are confessed and noble deeds are carried out, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that the construction of the main mosque in the center of Akhal velayat will become a historical event.

As the Arkadag noted, the construction of mosques, bridges and roads are considered a positive deed, which is successfully continued in the new epoch. Mosques were considered among the people as the home of Allah, the Haji Arkadag said, and therefore, after consulting with respected elders and experts, it is necessary to determine the day of laying a new spiritual temple and holding a festive sadaqat on this occasion.

Further, the Hero Arkadag informed that the first mosque was built in the Mary Velayat, and this noble tradition is continued in all velayats.

It was pointed out that among the magnificent architectural facilities in the Dashoguz Velayat is a mosque that combines the features of modern construction and national traditions of architecture. Then the spiritual temple was built in the city of Turkmenabat, Lebap Velayat, which organically fit into the architectural look of the city.

A mosque was put into service in the administrative center of the Balkan Velayat, the architectural look of which perfectly combines elements of national architecture and modern urban planning practice.

And today, in the new modern center of the Akhal Velayat, preparations have begun for laying the foundation of the Main Mosque of the region.

The construction of a new mosque on the blessed Turkmen land in the Akhal Velayat is another illustration of the adherence to national traditions and their strengthening.

Spirituality is attached a special significance in educating people on the principles of humanism, nobility, kindness, since faith makes them merciful. Therefore, our state pays great attention to the construction of mosques, temples of spirituality, and the holding of religious events.

Holding upon the theme, the Haji Arkadag focused on the features of the construction of the mosque and the location of its mihrab, a niche in the inner wall of the mosque that indicates the direction towards Mecca, emphasizing the necessity of consulting the clergy and respected elders on this issue. At the same time, the interior decoration of the mosque must be given special attention. It was emphasized that only high-quality building materials must be used in its construction and decoration, and this is the main requirement.

The Turkmen people made a huge contribution to the history of world culture by developing the national architectural traditions.

The Hero Arkadag said that currently the national traditions of architecture are reflected in the look of Turkmen cities and villages, and they are given great importance in the construction of various-purpose facilities, including residential buildings and mosques. The primordial traditions of the people, having passed through the centuries, are still alive today.

Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again stressed that we will soon decide on the dates for laying the foundation of the mosque, and it would be appropriate to give a sadaqat on the occasion of the significant event and public participation.

This event will be a manifestation of a comprehensive approach to the implementation of grandiose undertakings, the unity and cohesion of our people, the continuity of the principles of humanism and spiritual traditions, the Haji Arkadag emphasized.

As was stressed, the organization of such events to commemorate undertakings has become a noble tradition, designed to contribute to their successful implementation.

Then, having arrived at the place planned for the construction of the mosque, the Haji Arkadag emphasized the correct choice for its location. It should be noted that the site for the construction of the main mosque was chosen in October last year in accordance with the recommendations of the Arkadag and national principles. A bid was also announced for the construction of a new spiritual temple, according to the results of which the proposals of the Economic Society “Altyn” were recognized as the best.

Speaking about the fact that in Islam the mihrab in the mosque must be turned towards Mecca, the Haji Arkadag recommended starting construction work on a blessed day, facing the Kaaba, which corresponds to the commitment of the people to their age-old traditions.

At the same time, the Hero Arkadag once again emphasized the expediency of building an educational institution, a madrasah, near the mosque giving a number of advices on its construction.

Then Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov drove by car along the spacious avenues of the new city. On the way, the Arkadag examined the options for inscriptions on buildings, their features and color design.
