On November 16, 2022, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Minister of Petroleum of the Islamic Republic of Iran Javad Owji.

As the head of state emphasized, this year we are celebrating a significant date - the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our states. In this regard, the productivity of long-term cooperation built on a solid foundation of mutual respect, mutual trust, spiritual kinship between the two peoples and the primordial traditions of good neighborliness was noted with satisfaction.

As part of the meeting, which was held in a businesslike, constructive manner, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and his guest discussed key aspects of Turkmen-Iranian cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, which is strategic for the national economies of both countries, the development of which both Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran pay paramount attention to.

As noted, having a colossal resource and economic potential, supported by an important geographical factor, the two neighboring states intend to continue to build up traditional cooperation on the principles of equality and mutual benefit.

At the end of the meeting, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Minister of Petroleum of the Islamic Republic of Iran Javad Owji expressed confidence in the further progressive development of traditional bilateral cooperation, which has received new dynamics and content in recent years.
