Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in our country to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the Independence Day of Turkmenistan.
Expressing sincere gratitude for the warm welcome, the guest conveyed warm greetings from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the head of state, stressing that he was very glad to have the opportunity to visit Ashgabat during these holidays. It was noted that in the Republic of Tatarstan, with great enthusiasm, they perceive the achievements of Turkmenistan on the path of large-scale progressive transformations carried out in all spheres of the life of the state and society, initiated by the Hero-Arkadag and now successfully continuing under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Having cordially congratulated the head of state and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the 31st anniversary of the independence of the Motherland, the head of the Republic of Tatarstan addressed his best wishes to the fraternal Turkmen people.
Thanking for the congratulations and kind words, the head of Turkmenistan conveyed warm greetings to the President of the Russian Federation. Noting that it is very pleasant that friends from Tatarstan share our joy and take part in events dedicated to the main holiday of our country, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to President Rustam Minnikhanov for the constant attention to strengthening friendly Turkmen-Tatarstan relations, which have now entered a qualitatively new level.
In continuation of the meeting, an exchange of views took place on priority issues of bilateral cooperation, covering a wide range of areas and successfully developing within the framework of a constructive interstate dialogue between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation. At the same time, it was noted that the Turkmen and Tatar peoples are united by a historically established community of cultural and spiritual values, original traditions that are passed down from generation to generation.
As emphasized during the conversation, the long-term cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation is an example of an effective mutually beneficial partnership. Trade and economic ties, which have recently been given a new impetus, occupy an important place on the agenda of diverse bilateral cooperation. Directions for further development of partnership have been outlined, and direct contacts between business structures are developing dynamically.
The business circles of Tatarstan express their interest in expanding their presence in the promising Turkmen market, where a favorable investment climate and all conditions for efficient work have been created.
Great prospects for cooperation are also due to the comprehensive reforms being implemented in Turkmenistan aimed at the industrialization of the national economy, the radical modernization of the sectoral infrastructure, the creation of new high-tech industries focused on the production of high-quality competitive products.
Along with this, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation are linked by long-standing fruitful contacts in the humanitarian sphere, where a rich experience of interaction in the field of science, education and culture has been accumulated and good traditions have developed, which today receive a worthy continuation.
At the end of the meeting, expressing confidence that the high level of mutual understanding inherent in bilateral relations will continue to serve as a solid basis for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation across its entire spectrum, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov wished each other health and success, and to fraternal Turkmen and Tatar peoples - well-being and prosperity.
