The meeting was attended by foreign guests, heads of a number of institutions of Turkmenistan, foreign and Turkmen journalists who took part in the opening ceremony of the city of Arkadag.

During the opening of the city of national importance, with the participation of the head of state and numerous foreign guests, a solemn meeting was held in the Ruhyet Palace. A ceremony of presenting international certificates was held here, confirming the achievements of the city of Arkadag in various fields.
Residents and guests of the first «smart» city of Arkadag in Turkmenistan will use urban transport that meets the most stringent environmental standards and operates on the basis of digital technologies.
A characteristic feature of Arkadag, based on the concept of "Smart-city", are modern 5-, 7- and 9-storey apartment buildings and 2-storey cottages built using "smart" home technology.
The first «smart» city in the country - Arkadag's health care facilities meet the highest international standards.
Today, in accordance with the educational policy, new educational institutions, meeting the latest world standards, are put into operation everywhere in Turkmenistan. The objects of this important sphere, commissioned in the newly opened city of Arkadag, were not an exception in this respect. There have been already built ten pre-school educational institutions in the first phase of construction of the city, the work of which will be aimed at educating a generation with a broad outlook.
A new book “Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship”, published by the Press Center of the Turkmen State Publishing Service in Turkmen, English and Russian, is devoted to this important topic.
