President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov commended the titles “Honoured Coach of Turkmenistan” and “Honoured Master of Sports of Turkmenistan” to the coaches and sportsmen, members of National team who made special contribution to the victory at V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. There are 245 prizes where 89 gold, 70 silver and 86 bronze medals in the collection of Turkmen sportsmen!

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Order, in accordance with which Turkmen athletes who became winners of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and their coaches were awarded cars and large amounts of cash payments.

A solemn meeting was held in the Mejlis with the participation of the country’s parliament deputies and members, representatives of public organizations to consider the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games results, which successfully came to the end in Ashgabat.

In accordance with the Decree, issued by President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, the best sports instructors of the country were awarded the title “Honored Coach of Turkmenistan” for their services in developing and popularizing sports in Turkmenistan, special personal contribution to training athletes who performed successfully in the competitions of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games held in Ashgabat on September 17-27, 2017, as well as for the high indicators achieved in training and educational work in the field of sports.

A presentation of a new book authored by President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov “Sport – a pathway to friendship, health and beauty” has been given in a conference hall of the Public Organizations Center of Turkmenistan. Among those in attendance were the Mejlis Chairperson, government members, leaders of military and law enforcement agencies, public organizations, political analysts, representatives of sports organizations and the mass media.

In recognition of the extraordinary achievements in the enhancement of international prestige of Turkmen sport, and the record high number of medals earned in all sports included in the program of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat (September 17-27, 2017), a number of citizens of Turkmenistan have been awarded the title of Honored Master of Sports of Turkmenistan by a Decree of the President of Turkmenistan.

The award ceremony of valuable gifts to the members of refugee team with participation of the leaders of the Executive Committee of V Asian Games, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the State Committee for Sports and Tourism, coaches and members of Turkmenistan and foreign countries’ teams, representatives of domestic and foreign mass media has taken place in the Olympic village.

One of the major and integral components of successful organization of «Ashgabat- 2017, such any big sports action like this mass event, is qualified medical service. At the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers which took place on September 22, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave particular attention to this issue in aspect of quality of organisation of the Games, having charged to adjust round-the-clock duty of doctors in the Rehabilitation centre of the Olympic village.

Turkmenistan is actively introducing new technologies in the sphere of rendering services to the population. Such another step was the transition to a new electronic payment system, started in September in public transport in Ashgabat.
