President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received letters from leaders of countries with congratulations on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the Great Victory over fascism.

The President of Turkmenistan addressed sincere congratulations and best wishes to Emmanuel Macron on his election as a President of the French Republic.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution and approved the decision adopted during the session of the Board of the Trade and Industrial Chamber of Turkmenistan on appointment of Babagylych Esenovich Gylyjov as the Board Chairman of the Trade and Industrial Chamber of Turkmenistan.

For further developemtn of the partnership between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution approving Turkmen composition of Intergovernmental Turkmen – Afghan Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation.

Forestalling business part of the session, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reminded about coming Victory Day. Thousands of Turkmenistan citizens defending Motherland fought bravely and revealed true heroism in the battles with fascism in the most cruel and sanguinary war of XX century – the Great Patriotic War 1941 – 1945. The feat of our heroes is immortal. Our compatriots, who were in the home front, worked untiringly to bring long-awaited Victory closer. We pay high tribute to the memory of the heroes killed in the battlefields and honour the veterans and selfless workers of the home front who are alive, - the Head of the State highlighted.

The issues of preparation for participation in the International Specialized Exhibition Expo-2017, to be held from June 10 to September 10 in Astana, were discussed at a meeting of a Cabinet of Ministers on May 5.

Members of the country delegation that made a working trip to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan were received by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, who emphasized the continued commitment of the neighboring state to the relations of friendship and fruitful cooperation with fraternal Turkmenistan. On behalf of the people of his country, the Afghan leader expressed deep gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for active support and colossal work on the implementation of important infrastructure projects of special importance for Afghanistan.

By the Resolution of President of Turkmenistan, temporary fulfilment of the duties of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on industrial affairs is entrusted to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Dadebay Amangeldiyev.

Having announced the agenda, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov listened to the detailed reports of the leaders of security departments who informed him on the fulfilment of previous assignments.

The session of the Mejlis, where the relief of the duties of the General Prosecutor of Turkmenistan proposed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was reviewed, took place.
