At the end of the negotiations, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin made statement to mass media representatives.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held video conference session with heads of regional and Ashgabat administration. Objectives of social and economic development of the country, seasonal agricultural works as well as issues of implementation of National rural programme have discussed at the session.

On completion of the ceremony of awarding of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the Order of Alexander Nevsky, the Turkmen leader declared awarding of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin one of the higher state awards of our country – Order «Hyzmatdaşlygy ösdürmäge goşandy üçin» that means «For the contribution to development of cooperation».

Today, in the Palace complex ""Oguzhan"", upon completion of negotiations of Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Vladimir Putin with participation of members of official delegations of two countries a solemn ceremony of awarding of the head of Turkmenistan with a high state award of the Russian Federation – Order of Alexander Nevsky took place.

Signing of the agreements in humanitarian sphere of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russian Federation, which supplemented the package of bilateral documents adopted by the outcomes of Turkmen – Russian high-level talks, took place in Magtumguly Turkmen State University.

Upon completion of the Turkmen-Russian high-level talks, it was held the ceremony of signing bilateral documents.

The cultural-humanitarian relations always played a special role in the Turkmen-Russian relations, served as a strong bridge of mutual understanding, trust, deep respect and sympathy of peoples of Turkmenistan and Russia.

Speaking at the extended high-level talks, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of Turkmen – Russian cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats as important factor of making Caspian Sea to the place of peace, good-neighbourliness, harmony and beneficial partnership.

A separate topic of the Turkmen-Russian negotiations on the top level became the cooperation of Turkmenistan and Russia for the purposes of the developments in Central Asia. As it was noted by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the two countries are gradually working to ensure durable peace, stability and security here. It meets mutual strategic interests, and such interaction is an important factor in achievement of this objective.

The trade and economic partnership was the central theme of the Turkmen-Russian summit talks taking place in Ashgabat.
