In Ashgabat, a regular meeting of authorized representatives of the Caspian States started its work. The meeting theme, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Service of Maritime and River Transport and the State Enterprise for the Caspian Sea under the President of Turkmenistan, is the approval of the draft Agreement on transport cooperation of the Caspian States. The document was developed by the Turkmen side in compliance with President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov’s initiatives, announced at the Summit of heads of Caspian States, held in 2014 in Astrakhan (Russian Federation).
