The seminar, organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economy jointly with the United Nations Organisation in the Yyldyz Hotel focused on the progress of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Turkmenistan until 2030. According to those present, the most transparent concept of the general security, the principle of unity and mutual adaptedness of views on the solution of important issues of the world policy in the name of the successful implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals lay the foundation of the state strategy, initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Turkmenistan is one of the first countries that has started providing the consultations on the adjustment of the Sustainable Development Goals to the national conditions, successfully holding necessary events. In this context, it was underlined that immediately after the summit of the United Nations Organisation, the UN Country group and the Government of Turkmenistan coordinated the three-stage plan on the implementation of the general programme document. According to the international law, the implementation of the Agenda after 2015 in compliance with the commitments of the UN member states requires the complex approach towards the corporate actions at all levels. The goals and tasks specified in the document touch upon the most important problems of the present time. In their presentations, the seminar participants specified the examples of the successes achieved on all the tasks of the 2030 Agenda, in particular in the sphere of increasing the level of people’s welfare, gender equality, environmental sustainability among others. The most optimal means and mechanisms of assessing the Sustainable Development Goals measurement process in Turkmenistan were discussed during the seminar.
