Due to supportive activity of the head of the state last years, special attention is paid to the development of national electronic industry based on advanced world achievements and innovative technologies in this field. Organization of activity of the Drone Center has become an important step on this way.
On February 15, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), together with the Country Office of the World Health Organization (WHO), held an online briefing for media to discuss the achievements of Turkmenistan in the implementation of the Country Preparedness and Response Plan to the pandemic.
On February 12, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held an extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which the results of the work of the Government for 2020 and January of this year were reviewed, reports of vice-premiers, number of ministers and heads of the regions were presented. Priority issues of the country's social and economic development were also discussed and key tasks for the sectors of the national economy for the current year were outlined.
On February 11, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference extended joint session of the Cabinet of Ministers and State Security Council. Heads of ministries and departments, higher educational institutes and mass media, regional and capital’s administrations have been invited.
On February 10, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a working video conference session where the outcomes of the economic, financial and banking complex of the country in 2020 were reviewed and objectives for the current year were outlined.
