The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution on announcement of the contest for achievement of the best results in social, economic and cultural spheres by the outcomes of 2021 among all districts of the regions and Ashgabat.
The award ceremony of high state awards to the best employees of various branches of national economy, personnel of ministries, departments and organization, cultural workers who made big personal contribution to social and economic development of Ashgabat took place on occasion of the 140th anniversary of the capital.
XX International multi-purpose exhibitin “White City Ashgabat” dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the capital, has been opened in the exposition center of Trade and Industrial Chamber.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat, at which number of subjects of the state life has been reviewed.
By the Resolution of the Mejlis of National Assembly of Turkmenistan, President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the People’s Council of National Assembly of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was awarded with title of Honored Citizen of Ashgabat.
“I cordially congratulate you on the beginning of the XX International Universal Exhibition “White City of Ashgabat ”! The annual celebration of the Day of Ashgabat on May 25 has become one of the unforgettable events for the residents of the Turkmen capital. Traditionally, an international exhibition is held in honor of this significant date. I am convinced that it will be of great importance in strengthening international partnership and exchange of experience,” President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov says in his welcoming address.
A round table was held at the Institute of International Relations on the occasion of declaring May 25, 2021 as the Day of the Sister City of Ashgabat in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. The event was attended by the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan Matthew Stephen Klimow.
According to the Resolution of the Mejlis of National Assembly and Article 88 of the Constitution of Turkmenistan and Articles 11 and 25 of the Law of Turkmenistan on National Assembly of Turkmenistan and by the results of the voting, which was held during the 14th session of the Mejlis of National Assembly of Turkmenistan of the sixth convocation, Gurbanmyrat Ashyrov has been elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of National Assembly of Turkmenistan.
By the Resolution of the Mejlis of National Assembly, Annamuhammed Sarjayev has been elected as the Chairman of the Mejlis’s Committee of National Assembly for social policy.
Meeting between Vice-premier, Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Vice-premier, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Relations of Saint Petersburg Eugene Grigoryev and Director of Vozrozhdeniye Group of Project and Construction Companies Igor Bukato, who arrived in our country, has been held in Ashgabat.
