On February 2, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting with heads of the United Nations offices and agencies, accredited in the country and the region.

In accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Myratgeldi Meredov was severely reprimanded with the last warning for improper performance of official duties and shortcomings in his work.

On February 2, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference working session on development of fuel and energy complex of the country with participation of some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers as well as heads of profile structures.

In accordance with a Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy has been authorized to hold the Davis Cup event (which was previously due to take place on June 8-15, 2020) at the Tennis Complex, Ashgabat Olympic Park on September 6-12, 2021 in collaboration with the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan and the International Tennis Federation.

Regular session of the UNESCO National Committee of Turkmenistan has been held in the Foreign Ministry on January 30 at the request of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In accordance with the legislation, Turkmenistan continues work on the registration of vaccines for the prevention of viral diseases, on the instruction of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, negotiations are held with foreign manufacturers.

In order to improve the socio-economic and environmental situation in the Aral Sea region in the epoch of might and happiness, to reduce its negative impact, as well as to develop the National Program for the Aral Sea in the context of upcoming work in this direction, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, authorizing the establishment of the Interdepartmental Commission on the development of the National Program of Turkmenistan for the Aral Sea for 2021-2025 and control over its implementation.

In order to successfully continue the reforms carried out in the agricultural sector of the country in the epoch of might and happiness, the distribution of crops according to their types in accordance with the soil and climatic conditions of the velayats and etraps, as well as the further increase in the volume of agricultural production through the use of scientifically grounded crop rotation and increasing crop yields, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution approving the 2021 plan for the distribution of crops among velayats.
