On December 7, the administrative center of Dashoguz velayat hosted a ceremony of completing the Dashoguz city’s mission as the cultural capital of the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2016. Warmly welcoming the mentor and spiritual leader of many generations of theatre artists, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has emphasized that the People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, scene coryphaeus - Fahriya Alieva, who devoted all her creative life to the art, is a country-known celebrity. She worked selflessly in the Turkmen State Mollanepes Academic Drama Theatre during 65 years, faithfully serving to our people, the nation’s leader said.

On November 8, comprised of popular singers, renowned musicians and dancers, Turkmenistan’s delegation took part in a grand opening ceremony of the International Turkic Culture Festival held in the Republic of Korea.

On November 2, the International Scientific Conference “The role of “Gerogly” epos in the world culture” was launched the Turkmen capital. The forum was organized by the country’s Ministry of Culture on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov.

On October 26, the State Library of the State Cultural Center hosted solemn presentation of the Russian edition of the book by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov “Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood”, which tells about the great Turkmen musician Shukur Bakhshi.

On the week bygone, the Turkmen capital hosted Days of Culture of the People’ Republic of China.

It was adopted the State Program on collection, study and preservation of national non-material cultural heritage within 2015-2020. The President of Turkmenistan signed today a relevant Resolution at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in Turkmenabat.
