Today, the International Exhibition and Conference titled “Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical, and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan” opened at the country’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, displaying the capabilities of sectors that play a vital role in transforming our sovereign Homeland, which has chosen a path of creation and progress, into an economically powerful state.

This large-scale showcase, timed to coincide with the widely celebrated Day of Construction and Industrial Complex Workers, highlights the nation’s achievements in construction, industrial production, energy, the chemical industry, and road infrastructure. It also presents specialized equipment and cutting-edge technologies from world-renowned companies, while opening new avenues for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.

The participation of nearly 800 delegates from approximately 60 countries in this international exhibition and conference serves as clear evidence of the keen interest among foreign partners in establishing a productive dialogue with Turkmenistan – a nation recognized globally as a state with stable, sustainable development.

...In the morning, numerous guests and forum participants gathered in the festively decorated area in front of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. Musical and dance performances by accomplished artists added a vibrant touch to the celebratory atmosphere. The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairperson of Mejlis, members of the Government, heads of ministries and sectoral agencies, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, domestic and international entrepreneurs, and members of public organizations.

The attendees listened with great attention to the welcoming address from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the participants of the international forum. In his message, the Head of State extended his sincere congratulations on the opening of the international exhibition and conference, “Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical, and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan”. The event is taking place in Ashgabat, the capital of our homeland, during the year themed “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful, Winged Horses”, within the era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. It was noted that Turkmenistan is a nation actively engaged in construction and stands as a powerful state. The large-scale construction projects underway here serve as clear evidence of the steady growth of the independent homeland’s economic potential and its systematic development across all sectors.

Following this, the forum participants toured the exhibition, which vividly showcased the extensive efforts currently being made to modernize and diversify the construction and industrial complex of the national economy. In this new historical era, thanks to the consistent endeavors of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Hero-Arkadag, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, these sectors are developing at a dynamic pace. A far-sighted policy, combined with active international cooperation in this field, creates favorable conditions for the country’s sustainable development and the further strengthening of its economic might.

Numerous leading companies from countries including Turkiye, France, Switzerland, Russia, China, Iran, and Uzbekistan are participating in the exhibition. Among them are long-standing partners of our nation, such as Çalik Enerji, Gap Inşaat, Rönesans, and Bouygues, which are successfully implementing significant projects aimed at the transformation of Turkmenistan, including its capital city. Of particular interest is a project being implemented by the company Interbudmontazh to create “smart” underground road and transport infrastructure in Ashgabat.

Today, Turkmen entrepreneurs are successfully competing with foreign companies, achieving significant results in their operations and playing an active role in the implementation of major projects. Their exhibition stands display not only projects underway in Ashgabat but also facilities that have been completed or are currently under construction in Arkadag city. This demonstrates that the modern “smart” city offers substantial opportunities for domestic private enterprises to develop and gain professional experience.

The International Exhibition and Conference “Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical, and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan” featured a wealth of bilateral meetings. Discussions held between the heads of major international companies and representatives of the country’s state institutions laid a solid foundation for future agreements. The participants discussed specific terms for the implementation of joint projects, as well as various investment opportunities.

During the international forum, cooperation agreements were signed between government entities of our country and major foreign companies. These include: a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan and ZHA Architects Limited (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) regarding cooperation in urban planning and architecture, with a focus on innovative technologies; a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan and FALTEC Limited Liability Company (Republic of Kazakhstan) on the joint development of seismic-resistant construction technologies and monitoring systems for construction projects; a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan and Leica Geosystems AG (Swiss Confederation); a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan and VEM Sachsenwerk GmbH (Federal Republic of Germany) on cooperation in the fields of industry and construction production; a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan and NTS Service GmbH (Federal Republic of Germany) on cooperation in the fields of industry and construction production; a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan and Refratechnik Cement GmbH (Federal Republic of Germany) on cooperation in the fields of industry and construction production; and a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan and Grenzebach BSH GmbH (Federal Republic of Germany) on cooperation in the fields of industry and construction production. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan and Sany International Development Limited (People’s Republic of China) on cooperation in the field of industry and construction production; Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group Co., Ltd. (People’s Republic of China); Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and Sumitomo Corporation (Japan); Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan, and Bitdeer Supply Chain SDN. BHD. (Malaysia); Memorandum of Cooperation and Understanding between the Ministry of Highways of Turkmenistan and Betamont s.r.o. (Slovak Republic); Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Highways of Turkmenistan and Leica Geosystems AG (Swiss Confederation); Memorandum of Understanding between the State Concern Türkmenhimiýa and Topsoe A/S (Kingdom of Denmark) aimed at ensuring the operational reliability of the natural gas-to-gasoline plant in Ahal velayat and the Garabogazkarbamid plant; and a Memorandum of Understanding between the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern and Samsung E&A Co., Ltd. (Republic of Korea) on cooperation in the development of the chemical industry of Turkmenistan.

Thus, the international forum afforded ample opportunities for discussing and implementing large-scale construction projects – vivid symbols of our country’s rapid development – as well as for exchanging expertise and establishing mutually beneficial business ties.

As part of the international exhibition and conference, a high-level United Nations “round table” was held, themed “Making Cities and Human Settlements Inclusive, Safe, Resilient, and Sustainable”. The meeting featured an extensive overview of projects aimed at creating sustainable and “green” urban environments, spearheaded by leading global companies.

Furthermore, the event included a presentation of projects completed in our country over 35 years of glorious independence – projects recognized internationally as unique models of urban planning. Among them is the breathtakingly beautiful city of Arkadag, which took shape in just a few years based on the architectural vision of the National Leader of the Turkmen people. Construction of the second phase of this modern city is currently proceeding at an accelerated pace, serving as clear evidence of our nation’s growing economic strength. Alongside other regions, the architectural and urban landscape of Ashgabat is undergoing a transformation, with large-scale initiatives underway to turn our capital into a city that offers an exceptional environment for living, working, and leisure.

In the afternoon, a plenary session of the international conference, “Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical, and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan” themed “Innovative Development and International Cooperation: Prospects for the Construction and Industrial Complex of Turkmenistan” took place. The session featured a thorough exchange of views on promising areas for mutually beneficial cooperation. Among the participants were heads of relevant Turkmen ministries and agencies, domestic entrepreneurs, and representatives from foreign companies. Key topics of discussion centered on emerging development trends within Turkmenistan’s construction, industrial, and energy sectors, as well as prospects for mutually beneficial collaboration with potential partners.

On the second day, the international conference will continue through several thematic sessions: “High-Quality Products in the Energy and Chemical Industries: Current Status and Opportunities for Attracting International Investment”; “Development of Road Infrastructure, Modern Technologies, Innovative Construction Materials, and Advanced Architectural Solutions”; “Investment in Infrastructure, Industrial, and Transport Connectivity, and Public-Private Partnerships”; and “Economic Cooperation Between the State and the Private Sector”. On the third day of the forum, a special session will be dedicated to in-depth discussions on digital construction, advanced technologies for the development of “smart” cities, innovative solutions, and the enhancement of professional skills for future specialists.

Thus, the first day of the international exhibition and conference, which coincided with the nationwide celebration of the Day of Workers in the Construction and Industrial Complex, has ushered in a new phase in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation across a range of sectors.

Today, celebrations marking the Day of Workers in the Construction and Industrial Complex took place throughout the country. In the evening, a gala concert was held at the “Aşgabat” Song and Music Center to honor the occasion. The vibrant, inspiring performances by the artists served as an ode to the noble labor of our country’s builders and industrial workers – people who, thanks to the attention and care of Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, are transforming the face of our independent, permanently neutral Fatherland.
