Today in the State Museum of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan the scientific -practical conference devoted to problems of preservation of cultural heritage was held and within its frameworks the presentation of the book «Milli mirasyň hazynasy» («Treasury of national heritage» also took place. The new edition represents an illustrated guidebook to the funds of the State Museum. Its information part comprises an introduction in which the role of museums in preservation of national heritage reveals. Further the book’s contents is divided into four chapters devoted to artefacts of the most ancient history of Turkmenistan, to values of the country Margush, the Parthian kingdom and the exhibits of medieval period. Detailed data and evident photographic material, explanations to each reproduction, topographical information graphics, maps and schemes make this book a fascinating journey into the time and simultaneously an invitation to the museum so that one should see with his own eyes these unique curiosities and still many more from what has not been included into the given edition … Heads and experts of the capital and regional museums of the Ministry of Culture, scholars - representatives of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, teachers of higher schools, workers of libraries, public figures took part in the conference.
