Today, heads of cultural, media and tourism-related institutions held a meeting to discuss the program of priority actions to perform the tasks outlined by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the said branches.

In the capital at the Mukam Palace a festive concert in honour of Day of the national flag of Turkmenistan took place. In celebrations in honour of a sacred symbol of the nation a powerful spiritual message was put, it is of great importance for education of high civilisation and patriotism that found reflexion in the overture of celebratory action - a literary-musical patriotic composition on the basis of video series. On the large screen flies the green banner of the fatherland, major events of the epoch of power and happiness – the many-sided activity of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were reflected.

The Turkmen State Publishing Service is participating in the XXIV Minsk International Book Fair Exhibit that has opened in the Belarusian capital on 8 February.

The capital's cinema and concert hall “Watan” has hosted the closing of the Week of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a joint concert of Turkmen and Iranian artists. Speakers at the ceremony have stressed that the present action is yet another clear sign of friendship and fruitful humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and serves to the mutual enrichment of cultures.

In the Turkmen capital, it was opened Cultural Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan. The campaign was organized by the Cultural Center of IRI Embassy in Ashgabat and Ministry of Culture of our country.

The Turkmen National Music and Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli has hosted a joint concert of Turkmen and Chinese artists, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China.

The official brand of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games has been officially adopted. A new expressive symbol, which reflects our country’s national identity and innovation, creativity and fresh artistic ideas, was added to a number of the other 2017 Asian Games-related logos.

January will have an action-packed program of events. Until January 10, New Year celebrations for children will be held in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the “Älem” Cultural and Entertainment Center, children’s health centers in Gekdere, and in velayats. Circus artists from the Russian Federation continue giving performance at the State Circus.

Annual contest gathers young popular singers, beginners and those who wish to try themselves performing for the public.

In accordance with the Resolution of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, the Foundation for restoration and preservation of national historical and cultural monuments will be created at the National management on protection, study and preservation of historical and cultural sites of Turkmenistan.
