Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held the working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of velayats. Issues related to development of the regions of the country, as well as the course of agricultural campaigns in the regions of the country, were submitted for consideration.

The floor was first given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

As was reported, at present, treatment of cotton fields is under way in accordance with the agro-technical requirements, in particular, application of mineral fertilizers, irrigation, and pest control.

In order to properly organize the grain harvest, measures are taken to prepare grain harvesters, vehicles for transporting grain, and collection points.

Guided by the provisions set for the regions’ farmers to supply the population with agricultural products in full, the care for potatoes, onions and other crops continues in accordance with the agro-technical requirements, and ripe crop gathering has also begun.

Information was provided on preparations for the celebration of the International Day for Protection of Children, World Bicycle Day and World Environment Day, as well as on the construction of social and industrial facilities under the National Rural Program, to be put into operation this year.

Having heard the report and focusing on the importance of the current seasonal campaigns, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep control over caring for cotton in accordance with agro-industrial standards and accelerate the work pace.

The head of state also instructed the khyakim to control the construction of various facilities being built as part of the National Rural Program, which are scheduled for commissioning the current year.

Then, Balkan Velayat Khyakim T. Atahallyev reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

As was reported, cotton fields’ treatment is carried out in accordance with the agro-technical requirements.

Combine harvesters, vehicles for transporting grain and receiving points have been prepared for the organized completion of the wheat harvest.

Guided by the instructions given earlier by the President of the country to grow bountiful crops, caring for potatoes, onions and other crops in accordance with agro-technical standards is under way in the region.

Measures are taken for the successful fulfillment of the silkworm cocoons production plan.

The khyakim informed about the preparations ongoing in the region for the celebration of the International Day for Protection of Children, World Bicycle Day and World Environment Day, as well as about the construction progress of social and industrial facilities under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country, to be commissioned this year.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of high-quality completion of field campaigns within the established agro-technical terms, giving a number of instructions to the khyakim, including on speeding up work on caring for cotton.

Particular attention must be paid to the quality and timeliness of completing facilities being built for various purposes under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program, scheduled for commissioning this year. The head of state instructed the governor of the region to keep these issues under control.

The working meeting via a digital system was continued with the report given by Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim N. Nazarmyradov on the progress of seasonal field work in the northern region of the country.

As was reported, at present, treatment of cotton fields is under way in strict compliance with agro-technical standards, in particular, inter-row cultivation, thinning, weeding, application of mineral fertilizers and irrigation. In addition, pest control is in progress.

At the same time, in order to properly organize the wheat harvest, grain harvesters, vehicles for transporting grain and collection points have been brought to readiness in the region.

In order to sufficiently provide the domestic market with the products of domestic farmers, the care for potatoes, onions and other crops continues according to the agro-technical requirements. Urgent measures are taken to successfully fulfill the silkworm cocoons production plan. In addition, rice sowing is going on at a high pace in the velayat.

The khyakim informed about the preparations for the celebration of the International Day for Protection of Children, World Bicycle Day and World Environment Day, as well as the progress in the construction of social and industrial facilities under the National Rural Program, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year.

Having heard the report, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out that in order to gather bountiful harvests and ensure the abundance of agricultural products in the country, special attention must be paid to strict observance with agro-technical standards during seasonal field work, including cotton care, which is a requirement of the time.

The head of state stressed that high-quality sowing of rice within agro-technical terms is also the most important objective of the present day, giving specific instructions to the khyakim in this regard.

The President of the country instructed the khyakim to control the quality and terms of construction of facilities for various purposes being carried out as part of the National Rural Program, the commissioning of which is scheduled for this year.

Further, Lebap Velayat Khyakim Sh. Amangeldiyev reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As was reported, inter-row cultivation, thinning, weeding, application of mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation continue in cotton fields in strict accordance with agro-technical standards.

Guided by the objectives set by the head of state to grow bountiful crops and provide the population with an abundance of agricultural products, appropriate steps are taken in the velayat to care for potatoes, onions and other crops.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov informed about the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the velayats.

As was reported, in order to harvest the wheat crop within the shortest possible time and without loss, the necessary preparations are under way for the harvest campaign, which starts on June 2 in the Akhal, Lebap and Mary velayats, and on June 9 in the Balkan and Dashoguz regions. Currently, agricultural machinery, vehicles and collection points are in a ready mode. Practical seminars were organized with the participation of experienced farmers, specialists, scientists and machine operators.

In accordance with the instructions of the President of the country on the rational and efficient use of land and water resources, agricultural machinery and mineral fertilizers, as well as to increase the cotton yield in the regions, the necessary measures are taken, in particular, proper care for agricultural crops, pest control and applying mineral fertilizers are in progress.

Along with this, in order to ensure food abundance in the country, the care for potatoes, onions and other crops, as well as the grown crops harvest continues according to the agro-technical requirements.

At the same time, the necessary efforts are undertaken to successfully fulfill the silkworm cocoons production plan.

Having heard the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of timely and high-quality implementation of agricultural activities, as well as accelerating pace thereof, including wheat care, having given the vice-premier issue-related instructions to keep the grain harvest campaign under control.

Addressing the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agro-industrial complex and the governors of the regions, the head of state drew attention to the importance of the agricultural work ongoing these days, ordering to ensure their strict compliance with the agro-technical requirements.

The President of the country emphasized that the present-day basic objective is the successful completion of the wheat harvest, and in this regard instructed the khyakims of velayats to ensure a high organizational level of launching this important campaign with the participation of honored elders, as well as events on the occasion of the International Day for Protection of Children, World Bicycle Day and World Environment Day.

Then the participants in the working meeting via a digital system cordially congratulated the head of state on listing the collection of manuscripts of Turkmen philosopher and poet Magtymguly Pyragy in the International Memory of the World Register of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The decision on this was taken at the 216th Session of the UNESCO Executive Board held in Paris on May 10-24.

At the end of the working meeting via a digital system, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants sound health, family happiness and great success in large-scale activities for the prosperity of the Homeland and wellbeing of our people.
