These days, the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory is being celebrated on a grand scale in all regions of the country, as well as in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag. On the occasion of the significant date, a ceremony of presenting cash and valuable gifts to war veterans and spouses of fallen soldiers on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was held in the capital's «Mekan» Palace.

An exhibition was opened for the participants of the celebration, which presented materials from the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, including letters from the front. This is a clear indication of the respect with which our country treats the feat of the Turkmen people.

The literary and musical composition that opened the ceremony made a deep impression on its participants. Songs dedicated to the war years were performed with great enthusiasm, and performances combining spirituality and patriotism enriched the meaning and content of the celebration. In this regard, it is noteworthy that songs written to the poems of Hero Arkadag and Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov became a hymn to the unity, courage and hard work of the Turkmen people.

As noted, the poem «Biz ýeňeris» by Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, a loyal son of the Motherland, who served in the internal affairs bodies for many years, achieved great merit in educating young people in the spirit of hard work and devotion to the Fatherland, dedicated his life to the people and his native land, demonstrating a great example of humanism, is currently a patriotic song of hearts.

In Turkmenistan, veterans and spouses of soldiers who died in the war are honoured at the state level. This is a striking example of the continuity of national traditions under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who successfully implements the noble undertakings of the Hero Arkadag.

A clear example of this is the ceremonial presentation of cash and valuable gifts to war veterans on behalf of the head of state in honour of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in accordance with the recently signed Decree of the President of Turkmenistan.

The current celebrations on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory reflect the veneration of the unparalleled heroism shown on the battlefield by the participants of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the dedication of the gray-haired mothers who worked in the rear at that time, the noble work they carried out to educate the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, heroism, courage, strengthening the unity and cohesion of our people, their contribution to the successful implementation of cardinal reforms in the country.

As noted during the ceremony, important events and large-scale undertakings in our country are marked by grandiose celebrations. The participants expressed their sincere gratitude to Hero Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the importance attached at the state level to the veneration of our ancestors who left an indelible mark on history.

War veterans and spouses of fallen soldiers also addressed words of gratitude to Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for their tireless work in the name of maintaining peace, unity and well-being of the Turkmen people.

The masters of art dedicated their bright performances to the independent Motherland, the International Year of Peace and Trust, the high achievements of the Turkmen people under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who successfully continues the initiatives of the Hero Arkadag.
