The representative of the Turkmen circus won the golden award of the 10th International Festival of Circus Art ""Echo of Asia"", which was held from 2nd to 6th July in the capital of Kazakhstan - Astana. Circus artists from 12 countries - acrobats, rope walkers, jugglers and trainers from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Monaco, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Latvia and China participated in the festival. Our country was represented by the artist of the national group of circus games ""Stars of the East"" (""Gündogar ýyldyzlary"") Parahat Orazlyev. He gave the original number ""Belts"" in the genre of aerial gymnastics and the jury's decision awarded him the 1 st place together with the Golden Cup ""For High Performing Excellence and Professionalism"". Parahat also received a special prize from the Belarusian State Circus. It is noteworthy that last year an air gymnast from Ashgabat - Selby Shikhiyeva became a silver prize winner at the festival ""Echo of Asia"". The successes of our artists testify to the growing skill of the national school of circus art. And if the triumphant victories of the Turkmen horsemen at the prestigious circus competitions of the world, of course, caused all the compatriots pride, but were quite expected, achievements in other genres, such as aerial gymnastics, are a real breakthrough. Today in Turkmenistan the circus has occupied its niche in the rapidly developing entertainment industry. It is loved not only by children, but also by adults, as this is the most ""family"" kind of leisure, because it unites all generations at one emotional wave. The performance on the arena opens the door to a magical world where bravery and dexterity, grace and agility, beauty and talent triumph. Therefore, in the circus as a form of art, educational value is also included. And this aspect was especially emphasized by the Head of State speaking about popularization of our national heritage through circus art. The national equestrian games ""Galkynysh"" and ""Turkmen jigitleri"", known far beyond the borders of our native land, became such an active popularizer, having won a lot of the first prizes of international competitions.
