On July 24, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Having warmly greeted the head of the friendly state, the National Leader of the Turkmen people congratulated him on his birthday and wished him good health, happiness, and success in all endeavors for the benefit of the people of Uzbekistan.

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also conveyed warm words of greeting and congratulations to the Uzbek leader on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Expressing sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the head of the Turkmen state for congratulations and good wishes, as well as for the special attention paid to the development of bilateral cooperation, the President of Uzbekistan noted with satisfaction the high level of partnership between the two countries, based on long-standing ties of friendship, trust and mutual understanding.

As was emphasized, an active and mutually beneficial dialogue is maintained in the political and diplomatic sphere between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, based on trust and mutual understanding.

Cooperation is developing successfully both in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations and regional structures.

It was noted that in the trade and economic area, appropriate work is being carried out to increase mutual trade turnover, establish closer contacts between the business circles of the two countries, and develop interregional ties and industrial cooperation.

The important humanitarian component of interstate relations was particularly noted. In this context, the great importance of further expanding interaction through cultural events, exhibitions and concerts was emphasized.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on issues of international and regional interest.

Expressing deep conviction that the traditionally fraternal relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan will continue to expand consistently within the framework of mutually beneficial strategic partnership for the common good, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, taking the opportunity, thanked the Uzbek leader for his great personal contribution and special attention paid to strengthening bilateral dialogue.

In conclusion, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again sincerely congratulated President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday and wished him health, family well-being and further success in his government activities, and peace, progress and prosperity to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan.
