Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of a new important facility in the Baherden etrap of the Ahal velayat – the «Bäherden» ceramics enterprise.

In the morning, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived by helicopter to a special site near the new modern production facility and headed to the venue of the celebration.

The participants of the significant event included the Chairperson of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and industry departments, the hakim of the Ahal velayat, as well as representatives of the media and the public.

The participants of the ceremony warmly welcomed Arkadagly Hero Serdar.

The unique festive mood of the celebration was given by the song and music performances of the masters of art.

The head of state entered the conference hall, specially equipped for this celebration.

Speaking here, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sincerely congratulated the participants of the opening ceremony of the «Bäherden» ceramics enterprise, built in the Baherden etrap of the Ahal velayat, on the commissioning of this modern facility in the days of the International Year of Peace and Trust, marked by successes.

The head of state noted that comprehensive work is being successfully carried out to increase the economic power of the sovereign Fatherland and further improve the well-being of the people based on the Program «Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State: National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052» and the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028, special attention is paid to the development of all sectors of the national economy, including the industrial sector and construction production.

Modern buildings for social and cultural purposes, powerful industrial enterprises, new villages and cities are being erected in all regions of the country. The construction of the second stage of the city of Arkadag, the first «smart» city in Turkmenistan, is successfully continuing.

These grandiose construction projects, implemented in an independent country, are aimed at ensuring a prosperous and happy life for the native people.

The buildings and structures put into operation contribute to the progressive development of the national economy, the industrialisation of the country, and the harmonious development of the regions.

The industrial sector and the construction industry give a great impetus to the socio-economic development of the independent Fatherland, provide construction sites and the population of the country with high-quality construction products. We will continue to develop the industrial and construction sector in accordance with the adopted programs, the President of Turkmenistan noted.

The head of state especially emphasised that a lot of work is currently being done in the domestic industrial and construction complex. In particular, new modern villages are being built in the «Öňaldy» gengeshlik of the Ak Bugday etrap and the «Gowşut» gengeshlik of the Kaka etrap of the Ahal velayat. Also this year, an additional workshop for the production of 100 tons of glass products per day will be commissioned in the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat.

The President of Turkmenistan noted that in accordance with the state programs adopted in the country, much attention is paid to the consistent development of the industrial sector and construction production, as well as to ensuring the competitiveness of construction products manufactured at enterprises. 

Special importance is attached to the effective development of investment funds allocated by the state for the development of the construction industry and the expansion of production capacities of enterprises.

New industrial enterprises equipped with innovative technologies are constantly being built, producing products that meet world standards using local raw materials, which are in great demand both in the domestic and foreign markets, the head of state continued, emphasising that a vivid confirmation of what was said is the ceremonial commissioning of the ceramic products enterprise «Bäherden» today.

The construction of the new enterprise was carried out by order of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan by a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the individual enterprise «Eziz doganlar».

This modern enterprise will continuously provide high-quality construction products to the facilities under construction in the country and the population.

The enterprise, designed to produce 3 million 300 thousand square meters of ceramic decorative tiles and 120 thousand units of sanitary ceramics per year, is equipped with equipment from leading countries of the world. 

This will ensure a high level of production organisation, the release of high-quality products based on advanced innovative technologies that fully comply with international standards.

Noting that the enterprise consists of several buildings and workshops, where all production and living conditions have been created for about 460 employees, the head of state expressed his firm confidence that the industrialists of the independent, permanently neutral Fatherland will continue to work hard to transform our country into a developed state, and will make a worthy contribution to strengthening the economic power of Turkmenistan.

Once again, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov cordially congratulated the ceremony participants and workers of the industrial sector and construction industry, as well as residents of the Ahal velayat on the commissioning of this important facility, and wished everyone good health, a peaceful and happy life, and great success in their work.

Then the floor was given to Michele Pulpito, a representative of the SACMI Imola Societa Cooperativa company of the Italian Republic.

Having sincerely congratulated the President of Turkmenistan and those gathered on the opening of the «Bäherden» ceramics plant, the company representative emphasised that the new plant is the first in Turkmenistan and one of the largest and most modern enterprises in the world producing such products.

Taking the opportunity, the guest expressed deep gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his efforts to further develop cooperation between Turkmenistan and Italy, wishing him success in large-scale work for the benefit of the Turkmen people.

To the applause of the ceremony participants, the Minister of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan was presented with a Certificate from «SACMI Imola Societa Cooperativa», confirming that the «Bäherden» enterprise for the production of ceramic products is an enterprise equipped with high-tech equipment, and that all engineering work carried out and the equipment installed here fully comply with international standards in force in Europe. A Certificate from the Italian company «Associazione Costruttori Italiani Macchine Attrezzature per Ceramica» was also presented, confirming that this production is environmentally friendly, does not harm the environment, and the technological equipment installed here fully complies with the standards of international certificates for quality, ecology, health and safety.

Then, in a solemn atmosphere, to the applause of those gathered, the head of state cuts the symbolic ribbon.

At this moment, multi-colored balloons soar into the sky.

The head of state went to the exhibition pavilion built on the territory of the plant, where he got acquainted with samples of decorative ceramic tiles and sanitary faience.

As the specialist noted, thanks to the efforts of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the «Bäherden» ceramics production enterprise is being commissioned today, which will make it possible to provide large-scale construction sites, as well as the population of the country, with high-quality products.

Having expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of the plant workers to the President of Turkmenistan for the favourable working conditions created at such a modern industrial facility, the specialist asked the head of state to bless the work of the new enterprise.

The culmination moment arrives – by pressing a button on the remote control, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov starts the work of a large industrial facility.

Then, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov goes to the laboratory of the new enterprise. Here, a specialist familiarised the head of state with the conditions created.

As noted, the new production facility has the most modern equipment from the Italian company «SACMI», and production processes are carried out automatically.

Various types of ceramic products are manufactured here, and their physical and chemical tests are carried out in the laboratory, also equipped with high-tech equipment «SACMI», including verification tests of weight, humidity, water absorption, strength and glazing. The volume of added impurities is also determined.

The specialist expressed deep gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, for the conditions created for the country's youth to work at a modern enterprise and wished them good health and success in their state activities carried out for the benefit of the people. 

The President of Turkmenistan, having wished the specialist success in his work, went to the workshop for the production of ceramic and finishing tiles, where he got acquainted with the technological process.

The production of ceramic decorative tiles begins with the receipt of raw materials in special receiving departments. Here, the raw materials are crushed on a crushing machine to a size of 50 millimeters, and in accordance with the technical requirements of the manufactured product, its composition is adjusted using dispensers. Then, for further grinding, the resulting mixture enters a mill operating using the «boll mill» technology.  In this mill, the raw material in powder form is mixed with water and a slip is made, which is transferred to special underground pools, and from there to the atomiser, where moisture is removed from the composition by heating, it is brought to the state of dry powder, collected by special conveyors in 16 reserve warehouses and continuously sent to the production cycle. At the second stage of production, the finished mixture is transferred by special conveyors to the pressing shop, where it is mixed in the uniform distribution section in the molds. After filling the molds with a high-pressure hydraulic press, they are pressed with a mass of 340 to 500 kilograms per square centimeter.

Then, to remove moisture from the slabs, the products are fed into a 5-layer horizontal drying equipment. The drying process is fully automated, the temperature regime is regulated by the plant technologist.

The slabs coming out of the dryer are transferred to the glazing stage. In this department, engobe and glaze are applied to the slabs, respectively, which ensures the strength and water resistance of the products. Then, using printers, the slabs are decorated in accordance with the requirements and wishes.

After these processes, in order to maintain the strength of the slabs for a long time, their surface is re-glazed and fired at a temperature of 1230 degrees in a drying oven.

The products coming out of the oven are automatically transferred to the rectification stage for polishing.

At this stage, the edges of the slabs are trimmed, sanded and brought to the same size. All products coming out of the rectification are collected in temporary storage facilities on the territory of the facility using automated robotic conveyors. Products from temporary storage units are transferred by robotic conveyors to the polishing shop. During the polishing stage, production dust and chips are removed from the surface of the tiles.

Once the aesthetic operations are completed, the products are sent to the packaging line. To ensure quality, finished products undergo a full check using digital technologies. The quality of the product is confirmed by a specialist. Information about each slab is sorted, after which the slabs are packed in boxes, which also contain information about the quality of the product, caliber and image certification.

The use of robotic conveyors and automatic conveyors in all production units indicates that this facility is built on the basis of the latest Industry 4.0 approach. This confirms that information technology, artificial intelligence and automated processes are widely implemented in production.

Noting that most of the specialists working in the ceramic and finishing slabs production shop are young people, the President of the country emphasised that their masterful management of high-tech equipment will contribute to the successful solution of the problems of establishing production with innovative technologies in the country.

Then the head of state went to the sanitary ceramics workshop and got acquainted with the production.

Sanitary ceramics are made from white clay, kaolin, feldspar and quartz raw materials. The raw materials collected in closed warehouses are received in special departments, from where they are fed by conveyors to the mill, where they are mixed, crushed and brought to the state of slip, which is sent to underground pools.

The finished slip is transported by pipelines to standard and mechanical casting equipment, where gypsum molds are used. After pouring the slip into gypsum molds, the shape of the sanitary ware is formed under pressure. After passing the appropriate processes, this product is transported to a special department. 

In the production of sanitary ceramics, along with conventional casting, there is also equipment for mechanical casting, in which the slip is fed into production molds under high pressure. This method is intended for the formation of sanitary ware manufactured in large volumes. The products are then automatically dried in drying machines.

The products coming out of the dryer undergo a cleaning process and are checked by specialists. The products that have passed the check are prepared for glazing. Finished products are glazed to enhance their aesthetic appeal, water resistance and hygienic properties. Glazing is carried out in accordance with the type of each product.

The glazed products are laid out on furnace trolleys in a special area. After placing the filled trolleys in the furnace, they are heated to 1200 degrees, which hardens the enamel and dries the product.

Processing finished products in the furnace under the right conditions ensures their beauty and resistance to external influences.

The products coming out of the oven undergo quality control and are packaged according to the established standards and requirements.

After leaving the sanitary ceramics workshop, the head of state handed the keys to new cars and special equipment to the head of the Bäherden ceramics enterprise.

Having expressed boundless gratitude on behalf of the enterprise's employees to Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the construction of a modern production facility and for valuable gifts, the head of the enterprise wished the head of state, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag good health, a long and happy life, success in government activities for the benefit of the country and the people.

The commissioning of a modern production facility, located on an area of 30 hectares and equipped with innovative robotic and automated technologies, equipment from leading global manufacturers, is a clear confirmation of the successful work being carried out to constantly provide construction sites in our country with high-quality building materials based on the rich raw materials of the Turkmen land.

Having bid a warm farewell to the ceremony participants, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the helipad and departed for Ashgabat.

Thus, today's event of the International Year of Peace and Trust, marked by the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality, has become another evidence of the successful implementation under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of large-scale reforms initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag, aimed at further rapid development of the national economy sectors.
