On 4 December 2024, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye Ömer Bolat, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the Exhibition of Export Goods of the Republic of Türkiye.

Expressing gratitude for the time provided for the meeting, the guest conveyed to the President of Turkmenistan, as well as the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warm greetings from the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and wishes of prosperity to the Turkmen people.

Thanking for the kind words, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his best wishes to the leader of the brotherly country, emphasizing that he is pleased to receive the guest who had arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the Exhibition of Export Goods of the Republic of Türkiye.

The President of Turkmenistan noted that this exhibition, regularly held in Turkmenistan, is one of the important events contributing to the intensification of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries and wished success to its activity.

As it was stated during the meeting, the Republic of Türkiye is one of the brotherly states for Turkmenistan. Turkmen-Turkish relations, which go back to the depths of centuries, have been successfully and consistently expanding in a number of fields, including trade, energy, textile industry, construction and other sectors. 

Highlighting the importance of bilateral trade and economic partnership, the President of Turkmenistan paid special attention to the introduction of new technologies and advanced scientific achievements in various spheres, as well as international cooperation for consistent upgrading of the economy.

In this regard, the President expressed confidence that the Exhibition of Export Goods of the Republic of Türkiye held in Ashgabat would contribute to the further expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries and development of business relations.

The Head of state reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to develop further fruitful bilateral cooperation, including the elevation of trade turnover, with  consideration of specific proposals in various fields of mutual interest.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye Ömer Bolat exchanged wishes of good health and well-being, as well as peace and prosperity to the brotherly peoples of two countries.
